  • Fantastic!

  • remember this when i first fell in love . wow .

  • Quality, just quality!

  • The remix version of this song is much more beautiful, with an extended synthesizer-chorus ending. The regular version of the song has an ending which is too short. In my opinion, this was an error by the producer.

  • One of my all time favorite songs. Almost makes me cry.

  • Bought this on cassette and still have it 8-)

  • i like this song and i really really love this video. thanks sososo much for posting!!!!!

  • I was also lucky to see them, and the place where they played!! An indoor horse arena in a small village in belgium!!! Unbelievable, and I still have the pictures I took , I could get close enough, really lovely. I remember having my radio on the back off my bicycle, didn't have a walkman, great cycling music...sunshine, jee, memories come rushin back

  • I just love Talk Talk. The music, Hollis voice, the art direction, the cover art and the incredible songs. Trully one of the great things from the 80s. They didnt need millions to hide behind a fancy video. Pure quality. Glad I got to see them live in Oslo in 1986. Honestly one of the best conserts Ive ever witnessed. They could really deliver the stuff live as well, thats quality.

  • 84 my year :)

  • Timeless!

  • load of b..................x

  • what does this music video have to do with the song?? I love this song but just confused about the video

  • Wo sind nur die 80er Jahre. Where only the 80s.

  • OMG Talk Talk was such a great band ... This song was in MY FIRST EVER ALBUM I BOUGHT MYSELF from my own pocket money!!!

  • 0:27 waht annimal is this?

  • It´s better than the gloria stefan´s version. No doubt.

  • @celsocortez2 You mean Gwen Stefani

  • @celsocortez2 Better? Hmph it's the same song and beat. I Like both

  • @tonypauzz It´s the same... Yes, I agree. But the voice it´s diferent... The first version of a music often it´s better. Maybe I told this because this version brought back good moments to my mind.

Sorry for my english. Because I talk portuguese. I´m yet learning...

  • @tonypauzz Same song and beat...so what was the use in "covering" it? The No Doubt version is just redundancy -- nothing creative whatsoever. Talk Talk has THE definitive sound for this song as written. No Doubt could have done something that made it their own, but failed to do so.

  • for all those who remember that this is talk talk not stefani

  • Back then mtv was forcing a lot of garbage down our throats but I just could not dislike talk talk. Now hair cut 100 and men without hats is another story!

  • It's funny how I lost myself over you.....convice yourself. it's my life...

yep..it is. Fantastic song and band. So many memoreis. Gwen just brought to back to lif

ve so people can hear the original.

  • @elves4me I gotta agree with that. I just found out a few days ago

  • It's funny how I lost myself over you.....convice yourself. it's my life...

yep..it is. Fantastic song and band. So many memoreis. Gwen just brought to back to live so people can hear the origina.

  • I love this song, and video!

  • que de souvenir

  • Does anybody remember a version of this video (with a similar 'nature' theme to this one) and shown back in 84 when the song first came out, and apparently filmed down in Madagascar, featuring lemurs jumping through the trees? I can't seem to find it but I'm 'sure' I remember it.

  • Talk Talks version is a million times better then Gwens version. To all these lazy singers today write your own songs, be more creative and stop ripping of the 70s and 80s artists

  • one of the best most heartfelt songs ever.wouldnt it be nice if some groups these days could pull off something as real as this?

  • no doubt murdered this in their cover(and i like some of their early stuff) also i saw no doubt in England in the early 80s I am 42 now and if she is 43 as she claims then I am the fucking pope!

  • lots of boobies @ 1:10

  • This song remembers me when I was a child and I was looking at tv programs about animals. In France in the 70s we had "la vie des animaux". I just learn that the music was from "Quiet Village" by Les Baxter, reinterpretated by Martin Denny in 1959.

  • @explorer45: Yeah, the wildlife footage looks like Mutual of Omaha's "Wild Kingdom" ;-)

Love this song; sooo much better than Stefani's whiney version.

  • @Jakey92407 Thank you for your kind answer :-) It's my life...I wonder sometimes whether the musics of our past delight us because of what they are in themselves or because of the amount of our life we associate with them. There's a noisethat reminds me of my old squeakink toys at 0:04, 1:11, 1:21. Perhaps the originality of this song is to remember the beloved one that if he refuses us he refuses our whole life and therefor the child we have been.

  • Beautiful song and beautiful video. The shots of all the animals really fit the song and make you realise what a great planet we live on. Great stuff.

  • This song is still one of my theme songs.

  • this song has one of the best bass lines I've ever heard though you can barely hear it here. And the long version of the song is better than the short version.

  • He sings beautifully

  • I SO feel this song; always have!

  • Das Lied ist the best..so i mach myself jedesmal naß wenn i hör it...

  • this song is brilliant, but i'm so disappointed to know that Gwen didn't make this song herself, just took it from some 80's band. in a way it's sad, but in other it's good to know that these bands on the 80's influence people today, so that it shows that those bands back in those days were much better. i SO wished i was born those days!

  • @thahbianchi I was born in the 60's and LOVED 80's music! Still do plus currant music like Green Day, U2, White Stripes, Muse New Wave was rad! I used to wear outfts like Boy George, then black leather like Joan Jett , so muc fun!!!

  • @calisun2009 ahahahaha that's awesome! i bet you enjoyed these times a lot and that they really were fun :) lucky you!

  • @thahbianchi

"just taking" a song is different than paying tribute to it by making a cover, which is what she did.

  • wow, i really do love this song....and i don't love willy-nilly

  • IS TRUE, IS THEIR LIFE DON' YOU FORGET THAT'S WHY THEY ARE HERE SO, DO GOOD, DO RIGHT, DO SOMETHING GOOD TODAY ABOUT THEIR LIFE AFTER ALL THEY ARE THE CREATION OF HIGHER POWERS

  • One of the most beautiful songs ever to be written and sung. So powerful!!!

Thank you Talk Talk. I am still listening. I won't forget.

  • as much as i love no doubts 90's version i'm true 80's at heart!!!!

  • tried it but I love no doubts version

  • There No better version.

Talk Talk is New Wawe and No doubt is more Rock .

No Doubt's version is a Tribute to Talk Talk.

Th emotion of the Gwen's voice is very powerful .

    (Sorry for my english)

  • no doubt did way better

  • ,,who is alone? the most wonderful man in a secret world should'n..feel himself sad! you .maked a love fantasy labyrinth for to find his thorn in his heart because you needs and you are looking for a perfect lover!! : ( ..this song is wonderful and very original ..

  • i never would have guessed the song was about animals.. the videos funny in a bad 80s way tho..

  • @zuki2love you think this is about animals? Sad

  • fantastic song by a fantastic band..sadly we wont hear the likes of them again

  • @eddietwang

no kidding...Staind and Lady GaGa....this is their legacy

  • Any song of the '60s- 90s would be a hit today. Can you believe the junk of the the late 90s and the last decade? The music emperor has no clothes . Hardly anyway knows what I mean. Thousands of songs that didn't make the top 100 would seem viable for hit making today. All B sides back then would be A sides. The worse song any CD or album or tape track would be .. OK now I am going to far

  • its about time mark hollis/talk talk were in the music hall of fame.

  • Un incontournable !

  • I LOVE THIS SONG !!!! j'adore cette chanson !!!! ciao .

  • An unforgettable song that would probably be a hit today. Talk Talk you are sadly missed !!

  • @garyrgilmore Uh, it was a hit, for No Doubt.

  • one of the really unforgettable songs of the 80's in my opinion ty for posting video

  • Markh Hollis is an absolute genius; catch some of his solo brilliance...

  • A qualidade do som está muito boa para um vídeo dos anos 80!! Muito bom mesmo!! Me faz lembrar o tempo em que ouvia músicas no rádio de pilha!!

    bons tempos que nunca voltarão!!

    Great VideoClip!! Good times!!

Looks boring but It sounds preatty , soft and nice!!

  • blasphemy ;)

  • And do people play Gwen Stefani's anymore? Nope? wonder why.... lol

  • That was the idea, they didn't want to be walking around lip synching.

  • it never eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeends

  • talk talk are quality

  • dumbo!

  • This is a classic!

  • cool !!!

  • too quite

  • this song and video alway remaind me a perfect saturday trip with friends and familly... priceless!

  • This song was fantastic half way around the world from New Zealand a Pacific Island on an Ancient Greek Island away from your parents being a rebel exotic! Your own destiny Che!! Haere!

  • yeah! 2:45

  • esse cantor é parente do Dr.octopus do filme homem aranha ?

  • I seen this mtv on rhythm of the city in the Philippines back in 1980's

  • Oh, I love this song! ;D

  • One should want the Creation not the Covering of songs. One shouldn't cover songs unless one creates innovative (or at least, decent) music.

    Great track however.

I prefer this first version of the video. ;-)

  • I love talk talk, and the ostrich is mesmerizing xD

  • Classic!

  • I love both this version and NO DOUBT'S :)

  • Esta música é demais, eu me lembro da minha a

dolescência no Morro da Urca, sinto muitas sau

dades dessa época, que foi marcante na minha

vida, os anos 80 foram maravilhosos.

  • sem duvida...dos states chau

  • TALK TALK It's My Life is the best

    No Doubt version sucks

  • i personally think that the Gwen-version is better... think a girl shoud sing this song not a guy...

  • Why not?

  • Its not Gwens! Its No Doubt! They ALL make the music! I'm so sick of people always thinking the lead singer gets all the credit!

  • oh sorry .. of course i know that the song is by no doubt but i especially like gwen.. thats the reason why ive written gwen ;)

  • Talk Talks version is a million times better then Gwens version. To all these lazy singers today write your own songs, be more creative and stop ripping of the 70s and 80s artists

  • yeah i know like that stupid cover of mad world that gary jules did, that was terrible and it has like 11 million more views

  • great song

  • loolll ye great song same i wish i was around in the 80s

  • Hmm... Interesting music video but I don't care because I love this song!! :D

Man... I wish I lived in the 80's! They had some great music back then!(This is coming from a 12 year old)

  • for all you gwen haters, take a step back. Yeah, now she's a sell out, but its because of her that tons of people have heard of this song. SO now the song really never ends.

  • It was already an 80's classic before they covered it. The only people that heard the No Doubt version first are either lame or 10 years old.

  • This song was big long before you were alive.

  • @waterandafter, LOL I just got served .

  • @waterandafter

    that's true..such a shame!

  • I am life and cannot end,now is reality I am that deathless being now!

  • Thanks for sharing this great video!

  • Agree with you Gwen is a Orange county girl, she should stick with her band NO DOUBT about it.She destroy this song with her new ghetto friends

  • I used to love this song!!! It always gave me such a somber far away feeling. It still does to this day. Gwen Stefani destroyed this excellent song!!! Since she went ghetto, I have no respect for her!!! Even "No Doubt" got old after a while!!!!! Long live the original and best version of this song!!! Long live Talk Talk's music as well!!!

  • I agree with you peter97624.

  • Gwen Stefani is just another typical copycat singer of Madonna-like blonde-pretty-but little real talent. Everyone's out for the quick buck now MORE THAN EVER BEFORE ! Perhaps that why there's no 'CREATIVITY' IN VIDEOS ANYMORE. Just sex and violence - boring.

  • So much better than gwen Stefani's "version."

  • @meriksx3 no need to make the choice....the original alowed Gwen and the boys to shine....like/love both versions.....but, if i had to choose........LOL

  • excellent
