To the people who claim this is an unfiar view of the Onthank area, I disagree. I live about half an hour from the place The Scheme was filmed , and this is the most accurate portrayal of life in East Ayrshire I have seen in any sort of media. The reason the "nice law-abiding" people of Onthank are up in arms is simply because it is now being publicised. Maybe this should be used as a means to understand and quash this impoverished way of life, rather than simply pretending it doesn't exist

i hadnt hear of this series until last week as i live abroad but i just had to watch it.

it shows the reality of this world not every1s well off and living the high life , people do struggle with homlessness drug and drink problems. but sometimes its not their fault. i think george and annie are great they got theirself sorted and trying to stop their kids going down the same street as them. marvin could have done much better if he hadnt got involved with daina and kay is just a caring woman
