hi my dh and i have been trying to conceive for 2 years know and we have done clomid treatment and IUI and still no baby.A friend of mine told me about Embryo adoption so i ask my doctor about it they do it at my clinic so they put us in a waiting list. The price is reasonable compare to IVF...one transfer is around $3500 so if you cant afford IVF this is a good option.
It sounds wonderful!! I breifly know someone who had this done in India (she was an older lady and was unfortunatly born without ovaries) and she had a healthy baby boy:)
@NinaLuvsFriedChicken That's amazing, such a wonderful gift for that woman! To answer your question, I do have regular cycles, every 29 days. However if I'm completely stressed out around the time my cycle is due I can be 2 days late, this doesn't happen often just sometimes. :) I also wanted to let you know that I'll no longer be posting vlogs here, check out my new channel: DearestMeg is the user name!
So wonderful to see you again Meg. You were one of the first ladies I started watching. I am so interested to learn more aboutn this new option you have found. You are looking great. I love how positive you remain!!
@TheBabybutterflies Thanks! I'm pretty excited about this option, lots of thinking and research still but it's something we're really thinking about! :)
For me, I really want to be pregnant and birth, so Embryo Adoption actually sounds amazing if we get to that point. Yes. I'd do it. But not sure how my partner would feel (and my issue about keeping siblings from the same genes). :)
@MadreMaven Thanks! I know exactly how you feel, we always knew that we could look into adoption but I still want to experience pregnancy and all that comes with it! Embryo adoption is just a great option, Brent and I just brought up the "how many embryos" would we adopt/implant. Lots to think about, that's for sure!
I am looking to have another surrogacy journey in future and am open to Gestational as well as traditional and would happily donate eggs as well as embryos myself. Even if I was having an IPs genetic child transfered I may as well donate while I am at it! Also if I do I may get the round of IVF for free for my IPs saving them thousands! Win win! lol
@ashling328 Haha! I love reading all of your thoughts...I was gone far too long, that's for sure! :) I would love to try our own IVF cycle but at this point it just not (financially) possible. We'll see what the future holds for us, I'm still feeling pretty hopeful. Keeping you and your sweet babies in my prayers, hope you are feel well!!
...We differed on opinion on 'whats next' options for us after Ivf 2 Dh would have been interested in surrogacy. I wanted to give ivf 6 cycles to work and was looking at multiple ivf packages all around the world for the best deal. Maybe I'm wrong but I think everyone should try ivf first with their own eggs/sperm if they have been blessed to have enough sperm/eggs for ivf. Just so they have 'no regrets' but obviously if this is not possible then its a great option.
I'm totally in support of this. Its currently not legal in the country where my embryos are stored. But my Doctor says they can 'work' around it. As it stands I have 3 high quality embyros frozen. If we choose not to use them in the future. I know 100% we would donate them. If my 2nd ivf had not worked it was on option for us down the line to either to receive egg or embryos. But we also wanted to try surrogacy with my eggs/his sperm just find a 'gestational carrier' however continued .....
Welcome back, Meg! You look so healthy & happy! I hadn't heard of embryo adoption but it sounds wonderful. I love the thought of one infertile couple giving to another infertile person or couple, sort of going full circle. Can't wait to see what this year brings for you!
@katulka2 Thanks!! It does come full circle, I'm really liking the idea/option more and more. No matter what happens this year for us, I'm thinking positively! :)
I love the idea!!! I would deffinetly consider doing both adoption and donation. Everyone that wants a baby should get to have one!!!! are you and your husband going to try IVF on your own?
@MandyCandy66 We aren't doing any treatments at this time, so no IVF is planned. When I was doing some digging around on adoption and found embryo adoption is was really intriguing. We're just beginning to talk about this option, we'll see what happens. :)
I HAVE heard of embryo adoption. I think it is a wonderful option for both those who are seeking pregnancy and those who no longer need their left over embryos. If we ever have to pursue the avenue of IVF, Hubby and I plan to donate our embryos to couples who are unable to conceive their own child. I think it is an amazing gift for the giver and the receiver of the embryos. I say go for it if you can! So happy to see you vlogging again!
@poeticsongbird25 That's really great! I love this option and I had never even thought of it until I saw it on the adoption agency website! It truly is an incredible gift! :)
We are going through IVF in April and one of our options in the concent form is the embryo donation... I just learned about this yesterday as well... we havent had time to sit down and talk about things yet... but I think that option is a fantastic one!!!! Good luck on your journey... I'm so flippin glad you're back :D :D
@kn781 That's great!! Sending you tons to sticky vibes for April! :) I'm just completely overwhelmed (in a good way) about this option. It has totally changed my thought process. I feel like this should be more talked about. Thanks again, it really is nice to be vlogging again!
