Say what you will but the shotguns from Black Ops rule. I like the SPAS-12 from that game way better than the pump action spas in mw2. The Olympia is also fun to use.

My gun-to-game philosophy is that if it has to be "handicapped," just don't put it in the game. Otherwise, they're misrepresenting firearms. Hollywood especially is really bad about that. I hate this idea that you can modify your shotgun pattern by shooting from the hip or from the shoulder. In the STALKER games, it depends not only on that but also whether you're crouching (and in the original, there are two degrees of crouch). In Crysis, you can actually select a choke.

Back in the late '90s, I used to have a two-tone Winchester 1300 with a TacStar foregrip. Had I put a heatshield and Ghost Ring sights on it, it would have been a lot like this one. I hate how they handicap and retardify shotguns in games like this. They do it to "balance" shotguns with other weapons. You can tell by looking at that 1200 that it has an 18.5-20" barrel and the magazine tube fits flush with the barrel, indicating either a 6+1 or 7+1 capacity. They limit it to four for "balance."

@IggyHazard Capacity really wouldnt matter if they didnt make it so weak. Anyone who hunts or uses multiple kinds of shot will tell you that buckshot can kill you at 30-50 yards. And Buckshot is what the military uses. They arent using bird shot...

They lessen the range of the shotguns is because the real life versions of them would be FAR too devastating. From what I've seen, real shotguns can shoot up 3 or times what you see on the COD games. Think how annoying that would be if people kept using nothing but shotguns the ENTIRE time.

That's a nice class, but I would rather use Special Grenades x3 since:

1. Frag x3 will piss a lot of people off, even though I don't mind it.

2. Stunning/flashing the enemy will let you rush in and kill them whilst decreasing the risk of being shot at.

I personaly think that the w1200 or alot better than the m1014. The rason why is because with the m1014 you need sleight of hand, and steady aim. With the w1200 you can use more useful perks like juggernaut and extreme conditioning or steady aim. So you dont have to use sleight of hand. Also the m1014 is so weak it may take up to 3 bursts to kill someone.
