  • Happy song? Don't be so sure. Hear the lyrics again. A drug dealer's in Kelly Street, Ultimo, Sydney. Friends (the dealers) and Strangers (users) meet. "Sleeping in"... means an OD after a hit... "Crash on down like a house of cards". "Learned to give".. well known term getting people hooked with a free hit. "Sun and laughter"... being high as a kite. Life could be so sweet... the candyman was a well known term used for a drug dealer. Listen to it and see if I am right.

  • Happiest song ever.

  • This looks like it could be the opening to a spin off of Pee-Wees Playhouse

  • To think Sonic the Hedgehog 8bit Jungle Zone acted as a sample for this song.

  • What a nice happy song. Im going to listen to this when I get up and make a coffee and just sitting at the table, waking up...what a great start to a good day. I've been looking for something to replace Queen as my source of good vibes, Frente may be it...a few years late but good music is timeless.

  • Just wonderful!!! Nothing wrong with a little optimism!!

  • cute

  • She's cute, but she dances like she's done a little poo in her pants.

  • I love it. Years ago I thought it was stupid. Now? I love "stupid" music. It is called being happy.

  • @84heroes1 Now, Now - no need for rude language. Remember God Loves you (and so do I) :o)

  • God, I hated this song so much back when it was first released & hearing it again now makes me sick to my stomach - a true low point in the Australian Music scene....

  • this has to be the GAYEST song ever made hahaha..

  • I remember this shitty song!! I had to endure this growing up cause my lil sis's name is Kelly

  • Good song with a lame MTV.

  • Comment removed

  • nah, still shitty.

  • remove that bloody ring from ur nose. what do u think u are? a pig?

  • Bob brown would like to use these lyrics for his communist movement.

  • This song is just about the happiest song ever written and I just love it, even if its not cool.

  • such a bizarre video for such a great song...bizare in a fucked up way...

  • Was this song intended for YOUNG children?

  • acid

  • Julia?

  • I like almost every other song on this great "album" better, but this is catchy as hell.

  • I used to hate this song. It's amazing what nostalgia and being less of an uptight music snob can do.

  • @stephenpi So true, stephenpi, so true!

  • most whimsical song ever

  • i like the wind.. am i a pagan now :|

  • she gets around like she's got a bf/husband who's a little, well... TOO well endowed...

  • @awjb3 You'd still slip her one wouldnt you though.

  • I still think The Late Show did the definitive version of this.

  • @mgo26 Yes they did! It's on YouTube somewhere!

  • @AussieMusicVideos This is awesome, in America we only saw Labour Of Love, and of course Bizarre Love Triangle. I actually spoke to the guitarist on My Space, and accidentally deleted his message to me. I know they're not the Beatles, but I was so pissed. He just thanked me, & told me that Angie was doing something new. What I told him, was that some of my 1st non-rock chords on guitar, & rhythms, came through learning some of their songs. U know, I can't locate there album, but I miss it a lot.

  • @mgo26 looks to be that d-gen used the exact same set and constumes

  • @mgo26 you know what they say, imitation is the best form of flattery.

  • what is the song that starts to play in the last two seconds of this clip? it's driving me nuts! i know exactly how it goes but there is no english words in the song so i have no idea what to search for!! aarrrgh

  • @lewkus The 1st one was "Gangsta" by Bell Bev DeVoe & the last one was "Sweet Lullaby" by Deep Forest.

  • Its just the 90's bro....lol

  • Angie looks lovely here. This uplifting song was written by bass player Tim O'Connor.

  • wow...........that's just bad!

  • wow this takes me back

  • Always loved this song, always picks my mood up.

  • @stitchgroover I feel exactly the same way. Before ipods, I used to play the tape on my older brother's ancient Walkman when I was depressed. It still works! (The music, not the Walkman). Do you know 'Bizarre Love Triangle?' My favourite Frente lyrics of all time: "This is a love song, for John and Alicia's mother. This isn't easy, I might not write another."

  • @Medwynsmum "Not given lightly" really is an incredible song. It's layers are explicitly simplistic, yet it adds up to something that is both subtle and powerful. From the 6/8 rhythm of the castanets (I think) to the acoustic guitar and Angie Harts dolll like voice singing of John and Alicia's mother, there's not a flaw to be found in the song.

If you asked me, I don't think I could pick a favourite Frente song, there are too many great ones to choose from!

  • @Medwynsmum "Not Given Lightly" is a cover, it's originally by Kiwi singer/artist Chris Knox.

  • @Medwynsmum ahhh Bizarre Love Triangle was originally a New Order Song
