When an animal dies, it's ten times sadder than when a human dies. It's clear that Snorkel lived a hard life, but I hope Big Cat Rescue has made his life a bit happier and easier! R.I.P

@GrandNecro No, all cats are solitary by nature except for lions, so unless we rescue animals that were already living together or we can introduce cats at a young age we keep all our cats separate. Introducing Snorkel to another mature tiger would have resulted in a fight.

@jbakerocks - it's not good to pet a tiger - they are wild animals, even nice ones like Snorkel, who was used to people. This means they've been taken out of the wild, and have lost their fear of people and can never be a normal tiger again, always locked up because they're dangerous. People who want to own big cats rarely understand - but if you've ever owned a normal cat you know how sometimes they get ferocious? Even if a tiger is nice most of the time, one day he WILL attack someone!
