  • you should never interact like that with the deer or feeding the deer there it is really bad for them and yourself.

  • What a great experience. I just love deer. I live in the Adirondacks and I think they are about my favorite animal. Thanks for the posting.

  • ........i miss it!!

  • I went to Ocean Beach... I realy want to go to the grove....

  • i am going there this weekend!!!

  • You assume "hick" because of my ID-how stupid. I spent 30 years in Fairfield CT, an executive for a Fortune 500 company. Humans are omnivores (eat meat and plants)having 4 canine teeth. My hunting experience-was drafted in the 1960's and Uncle Sam put a rifle in my hands and sent me to Vietnam. Nothing since. Lyme disease is prevalent in CT because of the large deer herd and I know several people who have it. Last year was almost killed by deer running into my car. You deal in stereotypes. Sad.

  • If deer weren't hunted there would be a deer overpopulation. During winters there wouldn't be enough food for them and a large number would starve to death. Soccer moms driving their kids home from the game at sunset would end up with either a deer coming through their windshield or swerving into a tree or another car avoiding a deer hit. More children would come down with Lyme Disease which resembles rheumatoid arthritis as more deer visited our lawns and athletic fields at night.

  • What about human overpopulation? Surely we can hunt that to narrow it down.

Or is that what Uncle Sam was doing to us in Vietnam?

  • Check out some friendly deer in PA, in my video "Deer Friends"

  • The deer near my house run away if anybody gets within 25 feet of them :(

  • The L.A. County Fair has a petting zoo with deer in it.The deer are the main reason we go in.Goats and chickens are fun. But,deer are phantasmic!

  • Wow, that's so cool how you caught a special moment like that on camera! It's like they just popped out of nowhere!

  • I was thinking the same thing as Flukemusic. They looked curious because maybe they had lost their "adult", but adolescents have a tendency in most species to be more curious. Also, deer that are not generally hunted by predators or people tend to be more social. All the deer I see here are very wary of people, but occasionally one will walk right across a hiking path if you go far enough in.

  • These deer grow up with people all around them. They can't help - they're on an island. They are part of a whole community that respects them and they are taken care of. Thanks for all the comments!

  • making contact.. makes you stop and think .most times we,re too busy to wonder about other animals on this planet, you are very lucky to have met these two i wish it was me. thanx for posting
