But, after C-ing Rush live, I got a P-Bass & 100 Watt Amp 2 go w/it.
Just a baby on bass. Geddy thankfully shattered my typical Guitarist Arrogance.
Thx 4 the vids.
If U had clearer audio, to hear what U're saying more clearly, would B better even than Ur vids R already. Maybe a head mic or a mic & stand @ head level as Ur giving us Ur lessons. Thx again, man.

@mindhead2005 LOL I always called it YY ZEE myself, (and I'm english) becasue I thought thats just how it was intended, until I noticed the canadian pronunciation. :)
I actually have tabs for this, and you got it spot on. But I think a tutorial will help me learn quicker. I had all the way to the first solo learned, and I'm checking my progress. Thank you for making these videos.
I suggest you talk about the right hand more !!! Maybe hone the webcam in on the R.H. some more n' go into more detail on how you do the i, m, i, m, etc. thing !!! That gets confuzing !!!
The rh seemed to me to be less important. The setup I had didnt allow for filming it, and if a person has reasonable right-hand technique, and a little common sense, me saying "i-m-i-m " etc seems superflous.
The left hand is more important tp explain - notes and where to finger them
Thanks for taking the time to put these up. I too am curious about you rh technique, just on the triplets (D note on the G string). I can't seem to get that type of speed with the I/M style. Could just be my crap fine motor skills. :-) I tried R/M/I but since I have never explored that before, it's a bit awlward. Is that what you're doing? It seems more practical for those quick triplets. Good stuff, Thanks!
I've seen most others play this section lower on the fretboard starting on the A-string. I guess it doesn't matter, as long as one is comfortable enough to be able to hit the individual notes properly. Great video...5-Stars!
thanks so much man, i heard this song and said' holy shit that must be hard on the bass' but thanks for postin this vid so i can blow my mates away with it!:P
Great job man! Far as I'm concerned, can't call yourself a bassist until you can play this tune.

Generally speaking, Z is pronounced Zed in Canada, Rush are from Canada, not Europe" or USA. they would call it YY Zed. just saying. ;)

@rfojr
RMI is probably the best way to get the triplet thing happening. I do that a lot actually, now that you say it!
Like all things...practise it and it will get easier I suppose.
