The basic difference between Special Forces and SEALs is the overal doctrine of the parent organization. Tim Kennedy revealed that his Special Forces unit did mainly direct action.
@sniperboi96 first pass airborne and ranger school you usualy have to have some conventional expreiance before taking the Q-coarse and robin sage. The seals concentrate more on direct action. the gb focus traditionaly has been training indiginous forces

@sniperboi96 green berets but u have to be real tough in mentally,emotionally and physically.. i've seen their basic training and among 200+ men who joined there was only 30 who pass and only half them might become green berets
@sniperboi96 Im wondering the same thing man. I live in San Diego right on the water so maybe SEALs. But you could always become a Special Forces diver. Plus the Green Berets are much more culturally involved than SEALs. So if your into that then I would say Green Berets. But if not then SEALs. @sniperboi96 Its not as simple as enlisting in the army for both you have to be chosen and even then you have to pass the most intense training but if you were chosen for one I would like to join the berets.
If you want a quick in and out mission like what they did with bin laden go with the seals that is their main action. But you want some quick in and out operation also and mission behind enemy lines which may even take months or a year behind the lines with some friendly native tribes of the enemy state you are infiltrated go with the GBs.
@sniperboi96 green berets see a bit more combat then seals, but other then that there pretty much similar. its all up to which you rather wear a trident or a green beret, so good luck
Have you thought about USAF Combat Control or PJ? Combat Controllers operate with SEALs and Green Berets both to call in air strikes and set up air fields, and PJs are the guys who go in and rescue the SEALs and Green Berets when they get overwhelmed and take casualtys. As a note though: USAF PJ's have harder training than anyone else so it VERY hard to make through.
Only for that rescue? why don't you try having a mission on some far east or latin states to train frienly units , be an adviser or lead them as they did in vietnam with the meo tribes to fight the vietcong.People with such kind of work are not your kind of operators who goes in then quickly out. These are limited. The GBs have many skills because of the nature of their work. To fight behind enemy lines themselves or with people they train from the locality.
