wtf are you on about... the thing is, in COD u dont even lunge that much, it's just that even if the knife doesnt touch the person, blood comes out of the air, which is exactly what happens with the tac-knife because infinity ward couldnt be bothered making the animation and fixing the game.

Now if you wanted to be uber BAMF pro knifer, try getting knife only nuke, with marathon, cold blooded, and ninja. No killstreaks, and just to top it off, do it on a large scale map like wasteland. That would be, in my opinion, the most difficult challenge ever. (but really, uav and counter uav could be used, where's the harm?)

instead of lightweight try using cold blooded. Makes you completely invisible to radar if you are only trying to knife, plus when the other team does have UAV it will be like an advantage to you and you will get a bunch of free kills if you flank them. Also I think commando is better than ninja because if you are walking on a loud surface just crouch and don't sprint for a minute then keep running again. Also tactical knife is bad w/out commando and it lets you jump from really high, its fun.
