This is where the Buu Saga should've ended, if it had to happen in the first place. With Gohan whipping the ever living crap out of Super Buu and returning to the epic badassness he displayed during the Cell Saga.

And actually the daizenshuus state that pre rosat gotenks is weaker than majin vegeta. So not. Piccolo did not think ssj1 gotenks could handle fat boo. It was a secret between goku and piccolo of it being a nasty gamble. Base gotenks was absolutely worthless and piccolo shat his pants. Piccolo flew off after ssj gotenks because he clearly still needed more training. He said ssj gotenks was strong. But never said how strong. Daizenshuu gives a clear answer.

He wasn't going all out and didn't even try to kill him. And actually gotenks was taken as a nasty gamble
Glad to see I wasn't the only one disappointed when Gohan got his ass whupped. It was like Gohan was finally gonna stop being a friggin' pussy, but nope.
Its so disappointing to see the writers build up to Gohan so much and end it all by getting him absorbed. Its like making a story with great suspense in it and ending it by saying it was just a bad dream.

What was akira toriyama thinking doing something like this, i mean what was the point of gohan fighting at all. This was so like hyped up, gohan gonna be the hero a second time and what do we get, him getting his ass handed to him, only for goku to save the day. Honestly i wish gotenks would've been the hero of this saga, but meh oh well
@Blackmage456 I cant really remember its been a very long time but I remember reading while Toryiama was writing the buu saga he wanted Gohan to beat buu but the fans demanded Goku be the hero. I could be completely wrong but Toryiama did listen to his fans a lot. Well his Japaneese ones since the manga took forever to get over here lol

has everyone forgotten that gohan was so strong because his FULL potential was unlocked, goku has been able to change in to ssj 3 for the first time in boo saga, but that transformation was still new so he couldnt stay in it very long, and since he was able to change in ssj 4 in GT imagine if Gokus full power was unlocked instead of gohans, than he would have smacked boo around day and night. it would be like watching a ssj2 fight raditz
boo's power was increasing once the very last pod was ripped out (which was good boo) and he immediately lost all kaioshin influence. Bootenks calls himself the strongest boo, which tells us boohan > bootenks > kid boo > super boo
I like to pretend that GT never happened.. I like the way this ended with Gohan finishing as the strongest. He is not a waste of talent. GT had a crappy story line with non epic battles. Gohan is an awesome fighter always. And GT didnt do any character justice..

Goku (the one who thought he could gather his ki up with all his might to wipe out kid boo and failed) asked vegeta if his original plan was to have gohan AND gotenks come help fight kid boo and vegeta says "no", this implies that gohan alone would get rapestomped and goku suggested both of them to fight him (whereas goku thought he could do it alone).

gohan should have truly been top gun after this. the cell saga showed us that he had the highest potentialof all. as he got older he slacked off and got weaker but this moment could have symbolised how to be the best you have to commit your life to it. then in epic fashion gohan couldve beaten buu

The order of power, as I understand it: Gohan Buu > Gotenks Buu > Piccolo Buu > Super Buu > Evil Buu / Kid Buu (they are basically the same) > Fat Buu / Mr Buu.
Buu absorbed Gohan not because he needed the extra power to defeat Goku, but because he would have lost to Gohan without absorbing him. Why he didn't just do it to everyone begs the question but the writing quality in this arc is abysmal and spontaneous so don't think too much about it.

@PrinceofSaiyajins456, Where's the link to this?, Goku himself said that when he fought Fat Buu that he could have killed him, Super Buu is a bit more stronger than Fat Buu and yet Gohan toyed around with him, so that means that Gohan is in the SSJ 3 category and is possibly stronger than Goku at this point, its not really unproven when it's in your face, there's alot of things in this part of the saga to why Gohan is stronger thank Goku.
@tjmack010 Go read up on the Daizenshuu's on kanzentai . com and The reason why a lot of people think Gohan is so strong is because of the misinterpretation of the old kai ritual. They automatically think Gohan is at the peak of his strength and cannot get stronger. Toriyama himself says there is no limit to ki so that debunks their entire argument. Gohan is no doubt a ssj3 tier , but goku is simply stronger, the proof is truly in your face if you understand it carefully.

It's stated that only goku can go up against kid boo and kid boo is stronger than super boo. i think this gohan is stronger than goku because my clue was when vegeta and goku was tearing apart the pods inside his body goku stated that it was a major decrease but him and vegeta still needed to fuse and u seen buu reverted back to just super buu who gohan owned before vegeta ripped the fat buu to turn him into kid buu
Best Gohan*s line in dbz is before that fight.Before he transformed in mystic form he said "all i have to do is become a super saiyan.And believe" that was epic for me.He didnt know if the power boost was enough he just believed and do his best.Gohan was awesome.Ok i am more of a Goku fan but still i am disapointed that Gohan lost after only 3 episodes
gohan was stronger than goku, it's just that gotenks the retard got absorbed as ssj3. so that's buu + ssj3 + picolo vs gohan. simply too much. goku knew the only way was to fuse with vegeta, heck even then he got absorbed. finaly in ssj3 form he had the upper edge but nowhere near to the edge when gohan stomped buu before absorbing gohan. and even at the end the energy for the spirit bomb was probably 50% from gohan.
Gohan is stronger than Goku, but Goku is way more experienced in battle. That's how Goku could handle himself against Gotenks Buu when Gohan couldn't.

Just because Gohan didn't fight Kid Buu doesn't mean anything. Gohan went blow for blow with Gotenks absorbed Buu.(He still lost though.) Something SSJ3 Goku couldn't.

Gohan is stronger than Goku at the end of DBZ. Look around the internet and you'll find lots of sources that say so. Gohan's power level as a mystic puts him in a different tier than goku as a ssj3. Gohan easily defeated Super Buu, while Goku had to perform a spirit bomb to stop kid buu (who was the weakest form of buu)

@MrFreeze7005 Bringing gohan was constantly ignored throughout the kid boo arc. If gohan was so powerful and beyond kid boo, that point would have been mentioned. It would be like leaving out important notes in the cell arc or freeza arc stating if someone is strongest. It doesn't make sense. When gohan became "mystic", goku mentioned nothing of him surpassing himself he was just impressed of his power.

Goku > Gohan, this was even stated officially.

Goku SSJ3 had a hard time with Fat Buu while Ultimate Gohan "Raped" Super Buu .
The biggest fact is that Goku is the main character and got the biggest right to finish the final villian of the anime.

And actually the daizenshuus state that pre rosat gotenks is weaker than majin vegeta. So not. Piccolo did not think ssj1 gotenks could handle fat boo. It was a secret between goku and piccolo of it being a nasty gamble. Base gotenks was absolutely worthless and piccolo shat his pants. Piccolo flew off after ssj gotenks because he clearly still needed more training. He said ssj gotenks was strong. But never said how strong. Daizenshuu gives a clear answer.

has everyone forgotten that gohan was so strong because his FULL potential was unlocked, goku has been able to change in to ssj 3 for the first time in boo saga, but that transformation was still new so he couldnt stay in it very long, and since he was able to change in ssj 4 in GT imagine if Gokus full power was unlocked instead of gohans, than he would have smacked boo around day and night. it would be like watching a ssj2 fight raditz

The order of power, as I understand it: Gohan Buu > Gotenks Buu > Piccolo Buu > Super Buu > Evil Buu / Kid Buu (they are basically the same) > Fat Buu / Mr Buu.
Buu absorbed Gohan not because he needed the extra power to defeat Goku, but because he would have lost to Gohan without absorbing him. Why he didn't just do it to everyone begs the question but the writing quality in this arc is abysmal and spontaneous so don't think too much about it.

gohan was stronger than goku, it's just that gotenks the retard got absorbed as ssj3. so that's buu + ssj3 + picolo vs gohan. simply too much. goku knew the only way was to fuse with vegeta, heck even then he got absorbed. finaly in ssj3 form he had the upper edge but nowhere near to the edge when gohan stomped buu before absorbing gohan. and even at the end the energy for the spirit bomb was probably 50% from gohan.

@SoloAbsoluteZero woah woah where are you getting these statements from? That is outside of the manga/anime. The manga/anime does not tell u this. Well you got that info from the daizenshuu. Now that you're using the daizenshuu you should use the other information as well. Which all states Goku > Gohan.
Gohan got owned instantly in the manga and the anime shows a buutenks that was warming up. So that point doesn't work.

You do know Goku said "You revived Gohan and Gotenks so they can help us fight Buu"
Goku couldn't hold his SSJ3 state, while SSJ3 Gotenks could. It was stated that Gohan was stronger than SSJ3 Gotenks.
No one will no for sure whether Gohan was stronger than Goku or not.

@MaxFlared I know, that. I'm trying to get the other guy to see that Goku did consider going to get Gohan and Gotenks to help fight Kid Buu, but Vegeta suggested Spirit Bomb instead.
Gohan is the strongest unfused character, but GT took all that away from him.

Gohan is stronger than Goku at the end of DBZ. Look around the internet and you'll find lots of sources that say so. Gohan's power level as a mystic puts him in a different tier than goku as a ssj3. Gohan easily defeated Super Buu, while Goku had to perform a spirit bomb to stop kid buu (who was the weakest form of buu)

you guys look too deep into this. gohan was the strongest at the end. it was stated several times in the manga. im hearing all these theories and explinatation that i doubt akira even thought of. nothing in dbz was ever complicated and any explinations you hear are just pulled out of someones ass. any time someone says something was stated in in interview is bullshit. there are a shit ton of dbz fans out there who are just dumb as fuck for thinking otherwise

Have you heard the explanations to somehow get Gohan to be strongest? Daizenshuu's were endorsed by Toriyama. And those flat out say Goku is strongest multiple times. @kakashiUzamaki oh contrair in the manga goku told vegita that if they fought buu now hed win. that was when he was in his super buu form that gohan beat up. besides if goku were stronger then gohan then that would mean his ss3 form was fighting buu at like 1% and when buu turned to evil buu and super buu goku would still be able to beat them easily. bullshit. plus youre forgeting ss3 goku lost a ton of energy playing around with fat buu. reguardless goku saying thats enough proof that hes weakr

Grandpa gohan was dead and he went to earth for a while, goku was dead and he went to earth, vegeta died and he went back to earth because they had no choice, vegeta was dead and with goku fighting kid boo.... So why not gohan?? makes no sense, gohan could have easily been teleported to finish boo off but it was stated by vegeta that goku was the only one strong enough to fight him.

@PrinceofSaiyajins456 daizenshuus have many mistakes, they arent 100% correct. if they could send gohan, they would have obviously sent him and gotenks even if he was weaker than goku.....gohan, gotenks, goku and vegeta together can easily beat kid buu even if gohan is weaker than goku. the fact is that they couldnt send him.....goku needed old kai to give his life so that he can return. same applies even for gohan

@MrFreeze7005 Bringing gohan was constantly ignored throughout the kid boo arc. If gohan was so powerful and beyond kid boo, that point would have been mentioned. It would be like leaving out important notes in the cell arc or freeza arc stating if someone is strongest. It doesn't make sense. When gohan became "mystic", goku mentioned nothing of him surpassing himself he was just impressed of his power.

The kaioshins who trained Gohan throughout the entire majin buu arc never once considered bringing him to fight against kid buu. Gohan is strong but not stronger than Goku.

@MrFreeze7005 Wrong. You're allowed one day to return to the living world. Goku already used up his one day so that is why old kai gave up his life. Vegeta was using the one day he was allotted. Same with grandpa gohan. Gohan was still allowed to have one day. And even when Gohan was brought back to life they did not bring him because they knew he would not be able to beat kid buu.

@MrFreeze7005 wrong again dude. Gohan was brought back when Goku was still wondering what the plan was. The genki dama was not being prepared. Goku never said Gohan and gotenks were enough simply that both would have to come fight kid buu. The genki dama idea was a more suitable idea than having gohan come by which means you're overrating gohan. Kaioshins didn't even argue about Goku and Vegeta's dismissal of bringing Gohan. Goku > Gohan, this was even stated officially.

@kakashiUzamaki Goku either shouldn't stand a chance against Kid Buu it was Spirit Bomb(Power gathered form the whole universe) and the wish off Poruga (the Shenron of Namek) who made Goku restore all of his power . if it wasn't for the wish of Poruga Kid buu would reflect the Spirit Bomb back.
Goku is strong but Gohan is still stronger :)

@kakashiUzamaki .... in the anime is stated by the Supreme Kai that Kid Buu is not the "strongest Buu" he's only the most "DANGEROUS" Buu (cuz he has no emotional weaknesses/drawbacks) Fat Buu and Super Buu are in fact "STRONGER" then Kid Buu
Goku SSJ3 had a hard time with Fat Buu while Ultimate Gohan "Raped" Super Buu .
The biggest fact is that Goku is the main character and got the biggest right to finish the final villian of the anime.

And I'll simply state this, if gohan was stronger they would have brought him over to fight. If gohan was stronger than goku and kid buu then goku would not be waiting 10 years to fight kid buu and simply fight gohan instead

Krillin could also throw the Spirit Bomb or someone else with a pure heart. So if Vegeta didn't sugested Spirit Bomb , Gohan and Gotenks would join the battle but wouldn't that be lame if the main protagonist wouldn't finish the final antagonist with it's strongest or main attack

Gohan has LIMITLESS hidden power when it comes to protecting.
Goku knew that he had to fuse for SuperBuu why not for KidBuu?
and as last Akira Toriyama the writer of DragonBallZ stated itself that Ultimate Gohan is the strongest Unfused DBZ character

Gohan does not have limitless dormant power, it was all brought out already.
Goku says he should have fused for kid buu and when he said that about super buu he was microscopic.
Akira never said Gohan was strongest, fake source.

@20kevron Toriyama never said that. You got that information from a made up interview. It was proven to be fake. The official word has Goku > Gohan. This official word comes from the daizenshuu, something toriyama worked on and endorses. So the debate should end here since official word already stated who is strongest but sadly this will go on.
