OK, these guys are probably real musicians who could play real music if they wanted to. So why don't they? It's all right to be avante-garde and out in left field but you need some kind of groove, you have to be playing something. This cut is just totally random noise.
OK, let's get real. This is just a bunch of random noise. Sounds like a jam by early Pink Floyd on a night when they were real messed up and completely uninspired. The "genius" drummer sounds particularly bad. Any 3 year old kid could get up there and randomly beat on the drums like he is doing. They could have picked four people out of the audience who had never played an instrument before and they could have did as well as this atonal, arhythmic mess. This just SUCKS!.
I will cope with the 'noise" easier, I dunno, what would the guy say for a Zorn' Cobra performance, as he's declaered this stuff as anti music and noise...:)
Tell you what, scotty, I saw these blokes last night in Leeds and they were fucking HOT! I love jazz but I'm also a fan of metal, reggae, soul, pakistani qawwali music, you name it (except rnb), and this music doesn't do justice to them live. I could hear Hendrix in there, Zappa's King Kong variations, prog rock, modern classical, loads of stuff, like masks passing across a face. Awesome. If we hadn't all been seated, I'd have stage dived. If there'd been a stage.

There's music in everything and even though you may not like it or you may not be used to it, it is music, that for what it is, is great.

The drummer, Tom Rainy is a genius as well as tim and craig
Listen too other things that these guys have done and you will have a new found respect for their artistic genius.
