@astroblastermaster I've used the original songs in a track of mine, I can give you a downloadlink if you want me to. Just pm me if you're intrested (;
The music is one of the original music tracks from TrackMania Nations. The new TrackMania Nations has a "remixed" version of the track. Unless you find the music file through other means, you won't get hold of it, because TMN (not Nations Forever) isn't available any more...
Right, so, ive been wondering how you actually do this. i used to know how to do it, but i have completely forgotten. was it done with the crazy mode ghost recorded, because i would like to do one in trackmania united, which doesnt feature the crazy mode... How is it done?? i used to enjoy creating a city, driving a car around it for three or so minutes, then making another ghost until the whole city was filled with cars...
wow just installed etc. runs at 15 frames omg i didn't think the graphics were that good. NFS pro street runs faster than that :0 (this has better grphcs than nfsps:0)
What settings are you using it on? Also pay attention to the Copper-size of tracks - the higher that number is, the higher graphic/lighting complexity the track has. Over 3000C is quite high. Moods can influence rendering speed. The "heaviest" is sunset, a little less hard on your system is night. MT Effects - especially blur-effect - make the frame rate very low!
I'd recommend trying to deactivate all background programmes as well as chat programmes and additional anti-virus programmes (if you feel safe about it). Next you should try to assign as many of your system resources to TrackMania (when it is running). Do this through the task manager or ask around in Vista forums. Unfortunately Vista itself already uses a lot of your resources while running in the background. If you have a system which supports XP, then try running TrackMania on that.
And you consider this. On small track it ends sooner then it realy begins thus even if theres 100 k cars there wount be enough time for them to spread to see how many there realy are. On smaller tracks most of the cars will still be in one another thus from start to finish you would be able to see only half or 3/4 cars thus 1/4 would be wasting your time becose those cars never leave shadow of other cars.
Most cars will be covered my each other, even if the track is very long. And (BTW) I didn't choose the track ^^, the community did. This track, although it is short, is ideal for a k-project as it's drop make the cars spread quite quickly... (explosive effect)
I have no idea... These projects usually fail because (a) either not enough people participate or (b) nobody is available with a powerful enough PC to render all the clips. This video is just my replays (-;
If you're running on XP then you can really only use 2GB Ram. A 512MB Graphics Card will certainly help. The main problem is the time. Try rendering a high-complexity track with sunset mood with a couple dozen replay on HD settings. It takes a long time and that is usually what most players don't have, unless they can render over night. I've got XP with 2GB RAM and a 512MB Nvidia GF card and a 2,8GHz 2-core. It still takes a while to render small clips. Another aspect is the compression...
qbtim, I'de like to ask you a question: How do you Compile all replays into one. if you could tell me it would be great :D i have trackmania nations and i want to do that THANKS.
Save all your replays in one Folder in the TMU Replay folder. Then start the game and go to the replay editor, browse to the folder with your replays and select all (WARNING: All replays must be made on the same track). Then do whatever you like; Play, Edit, etc.
It is a very good game! If you play TrackMania a lot then it is really worth buying. Another reason for "upgrading" may be that TM-exchange only really supports United and Nadeo seem to neglect the older games a bit.
Hey cool stuff. If u get a chance check out my vid of 100 replays on coast. i would join the project but its on my fathers laptop so its hard to get a chance to play it.
I managed to create the track, do all the replays around 2:40 mins each, create the angles and stuff for the video, then mix it all into a video on the weekend. And if you need any help with the editing aspects i might be able to help u out if u need some. If my calculations were correct i could have done 1000 replays for you, if I did ur project instead of mine. ....Woow. anyway i may get a chance to do some replays for ya. anyway thanks for checking out my vid!

Step 1: Save as many (single) replays of you driving a track
Step 2: Go into the replay editor and select all the replays at once
Step 3: Select EDIT
Step 4: Save the MT changes you want to make
Then you have one file containing all the replays you selected to edit (only if the track was identical)

whats the purpose of releasing a vid with only 60 replays? just wait until you're done with the real project...

6k project? more like 0.06k project. At least the original 1k project actually had 1000 replays.

How many times do I have to tell you guys, that this is a PROMO!!! PROMO = promotion, i.e.: it is like a trailer, not the actual 6k project!!!

It would be better on some gigantic track
hunteranubis 3 years ago
Consider that the longer a tracks is the longer it takes to record all the replays and the higher risk there is of not making it to the finish!

I would prefer to see those cars going thro some tight corners sharp turns and stuf maybe a jump or 2 (like water rushing thro canals)
On the other hand if they were doing it on hard track like the one I just made they would never make it :D
anyway its still a cool idea

Yes, go ahead ^^...
There are already a couple movies with a theme. The most common theme is a car chase: an escape vehicle and a couple of police cars.

EDITOR > REPLAYS > choose folder > highlight replays > OK > SHOOT VIDEO
To add camera movement and effects:
EDITOR > REPLAYS > choose folder > highlight replays > OK > EDIT
If you save the replays in the MediaTracker you have one file with all the replays merged in them.
