@MsSMSgirl I don't know the man, but if you watch the UK kitchen nightmares, he seems to really be kind. Plus, even if a bit scripted, stress can cause anyone to crack down and scream. I think most of this is him going way overboard.. but I think a lot of his attitude is stress and frustration at the cooks making, what he sees as a professional, moronic mistakes over and over again. And on camera.. it makes him feel like a poor teacher I think.

Having this guy yealling at you trying to break you. Having to cook your own food at home after spending the day cooking for the show (so they chose quick junk food)... probably drinking too much cafeine to stay up and smoking like hell to relief stress... it's not for everyone.
