Hah, awesome... I'm about 4 hours away from trading in my Pontiac Solstice on a 2000 Volvo S80 with extremely low miles. So comments like this definitely make me feel good about buying a 1999-2006 Volvo S80.

Can't wait for it to rott in my back yard too. Thankfully I have a good reliable low mileage Crown Victoria to get me around while the Volvo doesn't run. Maybe I should rethink this?

Did you remove the two resonators and the muffler? that is everything behind the cat?

Yes I had all that removed. In it's place is just a single glasspack muffler going out to a y tube, making the exhaust dual. After having it on for almost a year and a half now, I really regret I did it. I lost my all my low end pickup and the drone in the car is terrible at all speeds. Don't do it.

850 is an inline 5 the S80 is an inline six.

my setup consists of a custom full ss 3'inch downpipe and custom ss 3'inch cat-back exhaust including hi-flow cat. converter/ & hi-flow baffle/resonator with enough $change$ left over to have a r.i.p kit fabbed up while they were at it at my local reputable exhaust shop all for under a grand!! haha

- ipd does offer some great customer support but come on look at the price of Honda mods/parts and how many companies there are and then compare that info with the Volvo world and you'll see what im talking about... custom/diy is just about the only way i can afford it and be happy with the results-thx

yeah for the guy trying to rep ipd's shit any volvo enthusiast can tell you that they make some decent stuff-i.e like the hole stage three kit they sell for the balls to the walls 850-s/v/c70 guys, but come on who wants to drop $5k on that shit

And once I get the electrical system fixed, I might be selling. This is a really clean car. Over 2k invested in the sound system, 18" Voxx MG wheels...tinted windows & tails. Really great car all in all. Except for the electrical problems

Aftermarket sound system,electrical draw? I would check the install of the after market stuff to be sure thats not the problem or part of the problem.

just as an update...my electrical system is having serious trouble after hitting 135,000 miles on the car and I'm not driving it at the moment. Have had the car diagnosed twice now and I keep getting a mystery draw from somewhere that's preventing the car from charging. I miss Helga :(

sounds cool but, unless u flashed your ecu and that exhaust was tuned on a dyno for backpressure, then your probably losing a good amount of power/throttle response....i have a 99 volvo c70 and i only buy from ipd cus there shit is tuned perfectly to each volvo....

It was a universal fit muffler. So yes the magnaflow glasspack would fit your car.

$250.00 plus tax at a local muffler shop. They don't make a bolt-on kit for my car so it was all custom fabbed.
