Not wrong, they're classified as a lot of things, but their main classifications is Hard Rock. Glam would be Bowie and related bands. KISS has been put into that classification because of their pop-rock albums Unmasked and Dynasty and because of their makeup and stage antics.

@NickTheGuy93 While I can't help you on a Gene sound, look into Crate and Peavey for cheaper yet effective amps. If you can shell out some dough, Hartke and Mark Bass are pretty solid. Also check into the Acoustic brand of amps; those range from high to low and are usually pretty good.

Ah, what you mean is higher on the neck. Yes, Gene Simmons plays this song in flatted tuning, Eb Ab Db Gb or D# G# C# F#, whereas I played this in standard tuning, EADG. The sound is no different, just the positioning.

Good eye, it's a Fender J-bass, but Mexican made. I would recommend, if you have the money, an American-made J-bass, but this one plays very nicely, even though it's really old and beat-up, and sometimes doesn't function properly. I can guess, however, that in its prime it was pretty tight! The best bass I can recommend would be either a J-bass or a Warwick, but I myself am interested in an Ernie Ball MusicMan Stingray HS. It's all preference, man!

For the main riff , ( 0:50 ) . Do you play open E ? :S Because I thought this song was downtuned . But it seems right when you play it .

No, E is not in the scale for this song. This song is in C, and the lowest note this song has in an F.

Again, this song may have been recorded in flat tuning, I don't know. All I know is that it works just fine in standard tuning because there is no real need to play it in flatted tuning, as there is no low Eb in the song. They most likely did it in Eb standard because it's easier :P
