If you are doing the tracks the label execs tell you to do then you are selling out, if you aren't changing your style and adapting then how could you call yourself a creative artist? Straight Outta Compton was commercially successful. Too many artists seem amazing on their debut but then they seem to get stuck in a format. Look at all the one hit/one style rappers and you will see what I mean.
