@SouthUkraine: The Dominican Republic was not affected by the earthquake if you know the lifestyle there the DR has more resources and the poverty level is lower there. Haiti is extremely poor an earthquake of this magnitude will take many years to recover from. Ayiti yes I said Ayiti has a large population of voodoo worshipers. One thing you fail to realize is that the earthquake killed all people. In all of 35 secs everyone became the same.

if you give you can beter give to an organization that you see at work there, or friends that work there or a church that is in need and use the money directly. organizations direct from the governement or state or that are popular, use the money mostly for themselves and the people that are in need get less or nothing. so give it to the mission workers that are at work there and really help the people

Also, regardless of whether Haiti was 80% Roman Catholic or 80% Voodoo, we a Christians need to show love by helping them out and praying for them. In Galations 6:10 Paul said, "Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers."
