If anybody cares where I stand on the language debate-I'll say this. I don't use profanity myself, but I have no problem with the profanity in this song. Music is an art, and like any art, it must be true to the emotions of the artist. The lyrics were carefully chosen to convey a very specific feeling, and changing the words would be like changing The David for its nudity. The artists (don't forget that bands are comprised of artists) are saying exactly what they mean to say. Respect the art.

I love Mumford & sons very talented singers/musicians but baffled why they use foul language in their songs when there are alternative words that can be used. It also hinders airplay and I would love to introduce their music to my kids but refrain because of the use of lyrics, pity, extremely talented guys

@ohdarkmother you're missing the point mother and less of the loser bit, the best rock bands and song writers over the years never used foul language, Bon Jovi, U2, The Beatles The Rolling Stones, Simple Minds, Beyonce, Ryhanna and so on.....Mumford and sons are restricting their chances of airplay by using the F Word etc.... Reputable radio stations won't play songs with foul language and if they do it's the radio edited version which mutes the foul words out so why use them in the first place.
