CB radio on length of wire

am i rite in saying all i have to do is cut some coax stick it in the bk of the c/b(antenna slot? put some thick specker whier on to the coax ?

if you still have this setup can you show how u have it connected to your rig

Its just a regular thick gauge wire cut to 108" and connected to the middle of the coax output on the back of the radio.

Not the best idea to use this to transmit, i only used it to receive.
