Ouch, it loaded directly into the second quest! Normally you can take 8 hits, there are fewer bats, and the fish men are forbidden from spawning directly beneath you.
It's a Sharp Twin Famicom rather than the standard disk system. Better off with these as everything is in one unit. Cost around £90 for the system then about an extra £40 for shipping from Japan.
This looks pretty much identicle to the standard NES cartridge - but with loading times? No thanks. This game does not need to be made more frustrating! Good vid, Lorf!
Eh the load times in this version aren't that bad surprisingly now the C64 version is a bitch with the long load times, well if your running it on the orginal system or using true disk emulation
@thejoyofsticks You can also save whenever you want so you don't have to complete it in one sitting or leave the NES on over nights. And you only unlock the hard difficulty after beating the game so you can save after beating it and always be able to do it on hard when you want to.
Uhm, they didn't have bats at the first part of the castle :O

@RonnieRambin I loaded an already existing game save and I think the person who owned it previously must have completed the game a few times.
