  • Are you retarded? IR is not from harbor freight.. Ingersoll Rand is one of the most expensive and best brands you can buy

  • @Ryanthebman1 Are you retarded? There is more than one tool being used in the video.

  • @adamatism Meow.

  • kool

  • how can i know if the u -joint needs to be replaced?. . does it squeaks when u step on it less than 30mph and when u decreased the velocity less than 30mph as well?

  • @lowriderfan15 yeah. the squeak gets faster as you accelerate. its loud and anoying lol replacing 1 U joint should cost you about $120 and that includes labor. Getting one of mine replaced right now on my 98' Explorer. I've replaced 2 already cause i go mudding so much.

  • @IbanezArtist13 what are you talking about, you can buy a good u-joint for under $30,changing its easy

  • @This0is0pointless not at my local repare shop. I'm 16 i dont know how to rig it myself sorry.

  • Haha harbor Freight!

  • THAT TOOL FROM HARBOR FREIGHT

  • an ordinary c-clamp

  • o my......

  • Had this same tool for over a year now.Your video is what made me buy it however, the tool is now ruined after the 3rd use.The C frame bent on it a about 1/4" and now its useless since it can no longer put a bearing cap on straight.

  • Agree with kmrjeep about pushing the cap that far, I speak from experience, lol.

You should also put some heavy oil on the forcing screw of your press but keep it out of the dirt.

  • Bad thing about pressing the cap past the yoke is its a pain to get it out and going to far like that can actually bend and scar the ear of the yoke with the cross of the joint i have the same tool but i rarely use it for joints i do the tried and true method of hitting the ear of the yoke with a hammer with a vice or a solid surface resting on the side ears pops it loose without distorting and i reasemble the same way with just a hammer i change alot of joints wheeling and mudracing no prob yet

  • I just got my tool the other day like yours.I didnt use an impact like you did but the clamp actually puts so much pressure on the u-joint pushing it out,my bearing caps actually exploded and flew across the garage!!LOL! And i was only using a 7/8 wrench to twist the threaded rod.

  • Good video.I didnt even know they made a tool like this specifically for u jojnts and i was just gonna go out a buy a large shop press too.You just saved me a few hundred bucks.
