  • This guy makes Asians look like black people.

  • @Rnadom2232 LOL

  • @Rnadom2232 the highest iq in modern times of one of the very few high iq people that actually helped society was an african fellow who actually is the father of the internet,

  • Wow.....i want to be tht genius too......Just kidding...God bless him...

  • I HAVE ASPERGERS. :3 I love this guy... He is amazing. I WILL SEARCH THIS GUY DOWN AND MARRY HIM. lololol <3

  • Hungarian is far harder to learn than Icelandic.

  • Oh my god. He pronounced the name of the volcano right!

  • imagine what happens if he smokes weed!

  • @ShadowGKCP your an idiot

  • @ShadowGKCP your an idiot

  • @ShadowGKCP your an idiot

  • @ShadowGKCP your an idiot

  • @ShadowGKCP hahahah! burst out laughed at that! hats off sir.

  • like a hex code, he generates in his brain and encrypts it in acceptable "code" for the brain.

  • Doesn't he know the calculator has a button for that?

  • VIRGIN

  • Anyone can do it with practice, its the method of loci.

  • wow icelandic sounds like the language of the elves! i wanna see him learn an asian language cause hes use to european

  • @ricefarmer Iceland is in North America, dumbass.

  • @FastFoodHumor its right on top of england you dumb fuck

  • @ricefarmer Iceland is in Africa you retard

  • @weefeatures go look it up bitch

  • @ricefarmer Oh shit, it's in antarctica, my bad

  • @weefeatures Greenland is in North America,Iceland is in Europe and the capital is Reykjavik

  • @amstelko2 hey, yeah I know :P Just saw those two arguing about it so made what I thought was an obviously stupid argument about Iceland being in Africa xD Just me stirring things, tee hee!

  • @weefeatures LOL HAHAHAAHAH

  • @FastFoodHumor It's in Europe dumbass

  • I wish I have that memory in school.

  • wow, so amazing! really gifted man. wish him the best.

  • Whoah. pretty harsh words. I was asking a hypothetical question! I didn't say being gay was wrong (but it is a defect like astigmatism, let's be honest). Just that by being straight, I personally couldn't make the trade because I have a natural aversion to gay sex. Sorry if you're intolerant of people who would hypotheticaly choose not to be gay and savant simply because they don't like the idea of having gay sex. I expect a similar response from gays if Dennent was straight and a savant.

  • @sbhulu fuck off you pussy

  • @mdwarrior27 Real mature. Hope that satisfies some sense of righteousness you seem to have.

  • @sbhulu i love how you say that it's a defect.

    and i agree.

but i go a bit further and say that it's utterly disgusting.

  • @sharpnova2 I don't think it's disgusting. It's okay if you find it so. You have a right to your feelings. But I personally just look at it as a defect - like astigmatism, red-green color blindness, or a deafness. It doesn't make a gay any less of a person. In fact, they probably are more valuable to human society because their experience is unique compared to most and that enriches our society. But I still wouldn't trade being straight and dumb for being gay and savant.

  • A-ah-faf-yuh-la-kaa. Hey... I just learned some Icelandic!

  • He's amazing o.o

  • now if only he could make persacoms o.o

  • @CreativeThinker2 haha, loved that show

  • its called synthesia

  • wow..he's really a genius..that amazing he can see number and pictured out as a nature..!!cool..!!.

  • You know he's gay, right? Not joking - look it up. Not that's anything wrong with that, hehe.

But it begs the question - assuming you're straight, would you be gay if it also meant having also those savant abilities?

Sadly, I wouldn't - I just can't! I'd rather be straight and dumb. Does that make me prejudiced? :(

  • @sbhulu Dude just stfu...

  • @sbhulu Don't make something out of nothing.....Shut up lol

  • @sbhulu I agree. Shut the fuck up sir.

  • @sbhulu Stfu nobody cares this guy can learn the fucking hardest language fluently in seven days and you comment on something as common as being gay? You are so ignorant and a disgrace to this world.

  • Comment removed

  • Do You Guys Realize This Voice Of The Narrator Is The Cop Guy From Brides Maids!

  • he should do my hw

  • that's amazing!

  • holy shit

  • I wonder if this is similar to how chakras work.

  • omg his voice is soooo annoying.

  • @VideoSlob Go back to Tumblr.

  • Damit!! I wish I was him.

  • Isn't this guy the savant who came to the attention of scientists a few years back because, unlikely many of his peers who are autistic and therefore have problems communicating the things he sees in his mind, he can describe his brain's workings vividly?

  • Daniel Tamit, Learn every language in use.

  • Respect him, but a normal brain is design to throw away all those redundant information, like what do you see in the park, how many cars passed by you. As for him all this info is retained. That is why he said, he can't drive, the amount of information he picks up, will make him dangerous. In a sense, it is a disorder, his brain just doesn't know how to get rid of the redundancy...but picks up everything...i wish him well, and hope he doesnt overload..

  • This guy should do my IMOB codes

  • But still have a lot of respect for him, don't get me wrong

  • He could be really good in certain things, because of the combination of the brain disorders he has, which he wasn't born with. But instead there are a lot of things that we can do that he can not. One of the simplest of that is driving a car, if you noticed...

  • Pi is wrong =O How dare they do something like that!

  • he's over level 9000 in skyrim....

  • I WANT HES BRAIN BR...A.IN.S

  • did anyone else see the 69? xD

  • well...at least you know he won't be getting Alzheimer's...

  • ALIENS!

  • why is this guy writing books, speaking in front of people, being part of documentaries, etc... instead working at the NASA or something like that

  • @CBMaster2 because thats all he can do.. these people are not geniuses and remembering is not the same as understanding

  • @CBMaster2 I was thinking the same thing

  • knew it he had like autism cuz theyre very visual

  • very visual

  • @Jipzorowns Indeed. Strange. Did the person doing the graphics just type out what he remembered and then fake it from then? Seems awfully lazy.

But then again, it is 20/20.

  • Fish being particularly good for the brain is a myth.

  • "errrrhh.. thats hard" LoL

  • but he is not good with remembering names

  • at 2:37 the pi number is incorrect after 3238462 there should be a 6 there instead of a 9 and after that it doens't make any sense. That is not pi :)

  • man.. i wish i had his super brain two days ago.. i had a calculus final -_- hehe

  • I wonder if he struggles with the fact that he was did nothing to deserve this brain. And so every accomplishment he makes, he was GIVEN not EARNED.

"I like to prove them wrong"

    How pompous

  • @adolfolicious As he says, he was given a gift and should use it to make a difference. Which he has, from writing to volunteering in Lithuania, to allowing himself to be studied by scientists in various countries.

  • @adolfolicious I don't think he's at all pompous. I think he's amazing.

  • Amazing!

  • Everytime the narrator says his last name I think he's saying damnit!

  • There is a MEGA SAVANT preceding Daniel, and his name is Kim Peek.

  • @Beginningless Yes, but the difference between Daniel and other savants, such as Kim Peek, is the fact that he (Daniel) can survive independently. Kim Peek is amazing, but he cannot tell scientists what he is experiencing. The fact that Daniel can is what makes him remarkable.

  • I've been learning french for years now and i still cant even put a sentence together

  • Makes me laugh at the ppl who jump to calling him a fake or a phoney... do your damn research, he is a savant and is able to calculate to the nearest 100 decimal places without even trying. Look up the documentary evidence...donks

Respect to you Daniel, you have a unique gift

  • this guy has fucking superpowers, hes my hero

  • the narrators voice, fuck.

  • LOL i wish my brain can stop killing each other and work together like his LOLz

  • This guy is not a genius or a savant. He's a guy that used to compete in the memory championships using known memory techniques, changed his last name and is not making a career posing as a rainman-type of character, which he is not. And people are buying it!

  • @Inci7atus

Proof or get the fuck out.

  • @sciences8 You could check out the book "Moonwalking with Einstein" by Foer. There's also a lot of stuff on the internet about DT being a fraud. Google something like "Daniel Tammet fraud". There is also an old version of his website archived were he states using memory techniques. You will find several facts that when added up makes a pretty convincing case. You can find all of this pretty easily by googling. Please, don't just believe my word people, look it up!

  • @Inci7atus

Still doesn't explain the fact that he learned Icelandic in less than a week...

Even someone with a superb memory couldn't do that.

  • @sciences8 I think he is talented linguistically but mnemonics (not a "superb memory") can tremendously help with languages. According to a memory expert Tony Buzan about 50% of our vocabulary is composed of a few words: knowing and using these is a large asset. The fact of the matter is that DT is either a total medical anomaly or reproduces the effects by known (but obscure) techniques that several normal people are able to do as well, yet do not claim unique synesthesia or autism.

  • @Inci7atus

Yeah, I read multiple sources and you seem right. He's certainly abnormal, but I don't think he's a savant.

  • @Inci7atus LOL and im the easter bunny

  • @5swordmaster Go ahead and do the research, you will be amazed at what you will find out!

  • meh, my $5 canon pocket calculator is just as good.

  • @richie8811 Thing is you can't use it during tests, you can use your brain tho.

  • he is a computer at memorizing but he cant drive because he sees numbers whoa crazy huh

  • I bet I'm better at maths than this guy, I'm pretty awesome at my 12 times tables I must say

  • vango chopped off his own ear because an author said that they were going to leave and eat use to put a toothbrush in his mouth when it had paint on it

  • u know wat mentally ill people are actually smart i guess they should call them potential Albert Einsteins

  • I can pronounce "Eyjafjallajokull" perfectly as well, and i am not from iceland or have any related family to it either. Does that make me a super human as well ? :D

  • So basicly he does what every computer does much faster. So what is his function in society, except being famous?

  • The great thing is that he's able to enjoy life. Millions of "normal" people can't even do that.

  • @junkyjuice21 True that.

  • His brain is the normal one... we're the idiots... lol

  • @mechamiles yea i agree, our brain only uses about 14% of its ability

  • it's cool, but it seems useless. he's just good in memorizing and calculating but the math is so more than that

  • @lisacmer I don't know that knowing eight languages is "useless". He can actually calcuate any division, find any root, and circumvent many mathematical processes in his head to nearly any decimal place..

  • @FadoDeo4444 i don't talking about languages (you're very good in russian btw), i'm talking about math. Of course calculating seems amazing, but that's what computer is about.

  • @lisacmer Thanks for your compliment on my Russian )) but on the topic of calculations; perhaps I used the word "calculation" incorrectly; in an interview he states that he doesn't do calculations, he "feels" and "experiences" and "senses" the numbers. He claims he does no calculation in his head. He is a rather unorthodox mathematician, but everyone has their own method of dealing with mathematics; even "real" mathematicians relate differently to numbers.

  • @FadoDeo4444 Real mathematicians don't do calculations. They write proof, algorithms, formulas on which these calculations are madeby a computer.

  • IVE MET HIM BELIVE ME OR NOT

  • when i tried to pronounce that volcano i said ayafyahayaha... lol i wish i had that syptom. i can't remember 22000 numbers in pi and iv'e been trying for a while. and the numbers i can remember i cant unless i think of it in song form. thats how i learned it

  • if you guys knew anything you would know this guy is autistic savant. google it.

  • FAKE!

  • 53X131 is easy

  • @KevinZoremsanga11

but can u figure it out like he does???!!!

    everyone knows its easy

  • totally awesome. this guy is fantastic.

  • this isn't fair, all he has to do is take one look at his study material and he can ace the test :'(

  • What seems remarkable is that his ability went unrecognized for so long. You would think that a high school teacher would have recognized his ability for learning langauges, mental calculations, etc.

  • learn chinese :)

  • Daniel what? what was his last name?

  • @longlivezack daniel tammet

  • omg this guy is amazing

  • 2:44 "Dammit has assburger's syndrom!"

  • I would think it would be much easier to recite pi endlessly by doing mental long division than by memorisation.

  • NZT test subject?

  • Pisses me off so much when people say "Science can't figure out" because they have to have idea what they are talking about, science CAN figure it out, retards. Also, the ability to think outside the box, problem solve and be able to think rather than memorize is true mathematics. Not memorisation.

  • @TheAllboutwin Yeah, it gets on my tits too. Apparently this guy might be a fraud (from reading Moonwalking with Einstein) his real name's Daniel Corey. People can train themselves to do what savants can and they have. They have this thing called memoriad and people have trained themselves to multiply 13 digit numbers and remember long strands of digits and poetry just like Daniel 'Tammet' who apparently, also entered a memory championship himself and scored really well on the faces (aspergers)

  • @Redflowers9 "this guy might be a fraud"(??) I very much doubt that. Some of the worlds leading neuro-scientists have taken a great interest in this guy and his mental abilities have been the subject of ongoing research. And his surname before changing it by deed-poll was "Corney". If you had his "gift" and the surname "Corney", for to be taken seriously, in all likelihood you would do the same.

  • @Paddyllfixit Yes that's true and I would have to think about that more but what springs to mind is that people choose to be noticed and examined. For all we know there could be people just like Daniel who have practised mnemonics to meet the same ability but don't show themselves. I had to search for memoriad competitions where they do this stuff to an even higher ability than Daniels. Daniel Corney came 85th in the World Memoriad championship which covers all sorts of mental ability.

  • @TheAllboutwin You are right to some extent. While many great mathematicans had incredible memories and abilities of calculation, those things in themselves do not make a mathematical genius. To call someone a "genius" because they can memorize pi is hype I think.

  • @ChinDough no, he has totally memorized pi, 5 hours worth of recitation, forever i think... he is a high functioning savant, not insane

  • memorizing isn't math.

  • @Epic5236 I 100% agree with you.

  • its a shame hes gay if he had kids he could create more kid super geniuses

  • @MilitaryMan006 WHAT?!! NOOOO!!!!

  • @MilitaryMan006 No, it has nothing to do with genes or anything like that, this is the "soul" part of physics, we cant explain it, this is not about him being faster than anyone else (through genes) in his head, its about him having discovered ways of calculating that are BETTER, but he cant explain them, they happen sub consciously, just like you will calculate 1+1.

  • @MilitaryMan006 yeah, if they had seizures and aspergers...

  • @ChinDough lol?

  • This is what you call BEAUTIFUL MIND

  • 1:00 "...in order..." well, obviously in order!

  • anyone who thinks this guy ain't real is a CUNT, I'm jealous of this motherfucker, god luck to him

  • White people did something to this guy...

super human my ass... he must have smoked a new type of ganja....lol

  • Wow!!! Wow!!

  • The sequence of Pi starting at 2:30 sadly, is incorrect.

    The actual pi goes:

    3.14159265358979323846264338350288419716939937510582097

Where in the video it goes:

    3.14159265358979323846972695312487634215492654897287673

It starts becoming incorrect around the 22nd decimal,

Don't believe me? Do some research, or memorize it yourself.

  • Woah it takes me 5 times to memorize 3.14

  • Its funny how just a couple of clicks in google I am already convince this guy is some fake advertising his abilities as natural synesthetic genius. Any one want to find out more about him, should try googling "joshua foer daniel tammet" or "daniel tammet mathew crawford". I am more inclined to believe foer or crawfords claims about him being a mnemonic and mental calculation technique user myself. I personally believe everyone can do what he does with training.

  • @breakdancer100 I believe you have a huge inferior complex and you wish with all your heart he is fake, instead of admiring a man that despite his ability he feels no superior to anyone, he's brain just got more functional by an epilepsy episode. Stop being an asshole, would you?

  • @saultube44 Ok so I'm an asshole. Maybe I just envy the way he sells his product to gullible minds. Maybe I just envy him because he makes millions of dollars by just claiming he has natural talent.

  • Cool guy, I hope he can help make the difference as he said and work with other mathematicians to solve big problems for Humanity.

  • @breakdancer100 okay.. but why are you quicker to call him a fake instead of believing he is the real thing? Like seriously; what is your reason for doubt? btw.. I would like to see you learn a language in seven days with "training" as you said... Any linguist will tell you it's not possible for the common mind; no matter what techniques are used.

  • @FadoDeo4444 Any linguist? thats because you haven't done your research. why not ask torbyrne here in youtube. he will tell you you can get the basics of a language in a day. 7 days is plenty to speak fairly to locals. Why are you quicker to call him real? Why are your beliefs based on this discovery channel show? Why not question? I believe even Einsteins theory should be looked upon with doubt, although so far solid.

  • This man is my role model! :D

  • Impenetrable language on Earth? That claim is rather far-fetched. Icelandic is a Germanic language, same as English, and the grammar is similar to German. They should have had him learn something like Hungarian or some other, non-indoeuropean language.

  • @thecritiquevirtuoso

The only reason why Icelandic is not the most impenetrable language on Earth is not its genealogy, but the fact that no language on earth is more impenetrable than the rest. Unrelatedness and perceived complexity do not necessarily go hand in hand.

  • ohmygawd. we should take his sperm and impregnate millions of women, so we'll have a smarter generation of people.

  • @saberallen5 O_O... but then the world would be full of step brothers and step sisters... how awkward.. INSEST!! hahahaha

  • THE BANANAS. he's reading off the bananas.

  • its asperGERS! not ASSBURGERS you stupid narrator

  • @darkfire1044 i have aspergers as does my brother...it is part of the autistic spectrum...but we do not have quite these abilitys, my brother can remember many many numbers in a row, 25-30 easily, a normal person can do 10-12

  • I wish we had more people like Mr. Tammet, not necessarily in the autistic sense, but having the deep passion, and amazing experiences he has with language and numbers, he's able to distinguish different realms of knowing with incredible depth. What a wonderful person...:D

  • common what people had in ancient times!

  • Or he's faking it.

  • @shfbdfi1273 yah he memorized 22,514 digits of pie in front of scientists and its fake, ok.
