Thank you soooooooooo much for posting this. I heard it on The Bridge (Sirius Radio) but they neglected to post the artist name and song and it was taking me forever to find it again. Such an awesome version of this song!!
I just love this version of the song and was surprised by the video. The flowers are beautiful and not of the common sort. I'm a horticulturist and sell lots of plants on QVC. Thanks for the reminder of why I love plants - AND Dave Mason's music!
I got to see Dave Mason live...He did old Traffic and Spencer Davis songs. Was awesome.. But This is by far his greatest work. The absolutely best version of this song ever!!!
Dixie :- Hope you don't mind, was playing this as my profile track and been asked who wrote, which album and which year, so thought I would post info here, hope that's ok. It was the Goffin/King cover from 'Mariposa De Oro' recorded in the fall of 1977 and produced by Dave and Ron Nevison. Cheers Stephen.
One of my all time favourite songs and this is truly the best version ever, just played it on tape, so very glad to have found it uploaded here to some lovely photos as well. Thanks a 5 star favourite rating for you.
so good of you to post this hardly heard gem...Dave handed me his guitar pick after one of his show at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano,Ca...nice flowers too.
Yes very overlooked Dave Mason song as in most of his gongs, I am super Dave Mason fan, saw him more or less five time in the late seventies and early eighties, even shook his (guitar made for) hand, at san diego, even fletwood mac used to open for him (saw them too at San Diego sports arena) so yes great artist, he even was a studio guitarist for G. harrison, MaCarntey, crosby and nash, etc, on this song his lead guitar is a rock masterpice, just listen to it.
