Skyward sword did suck. First off, who cares if the people who play are right handed. Adapt to links style or don't play. Second, his boomerang wasn't in it. It's his most common weapon. He didn't get the mastersword til close to the end, his bow was the last weapon to get? What's up with this damn beetle? Where is the fire rod or something? But the beetle? @stewievengence everyone deserves an opinion even if yours does sound close minded and ill advised. I played all zelda games (except only half of majoras). This one and ocarina are by far my favorite followed closely by windwaker. Innovative, fresh, new, and your the first time ive seen someone bitch about a lot of playtime! I say it deserved the Wii Game of the Year award that it won. My only gripe is the art style, i didnt quite like the "painterly" art too much.

*The reason there was no boomerang, is that the beetle is used for the exact same function, and then some; making the boomerang obsolete.

*The reason you don't get the bow until late in the game, is because the slingshot would, otherwise, be useless; like in Twilight Princess.

*The Fire Rod has only ever been in two Zelda games. Why bitch about such a minor item not being included?

*Of course you get the Master Sword at the end. It's the 'Master' Sword.

I think Skyward Sword did a good job of spacing out similar items, and keeping necessary upgrades minimal. The slingshot got a lot more mileage because of that, and made the bow so much greater a reward.

The Beedle's upgrade introduced an entirely new function (picking up items), which I feel made up for the lack of a new item in that area. The longshot, I agree, was a little disappointing, because it's just the same function, but reaches further.

@darken27 I agree, I just never liked it how they introduce a new item which makes an earlier one useless, it feels like a waste of an item. One thing I liked about Twilight Princess was that it introduced a couple of new attack items like the Ball and Chain, rather than items purely based on problem solving.

Well, sure, that too. Of course, if they had implemented the bow earlier on in the game, I'm sure it would have been nerfed a little. But all the same, I'm sure the upgrade system would boost it's power; and likely would have used items that only become available much later in the quest.

But I definitely get the feeling that they caught on to just how quickly the slingshot became totally useless in Twilight Princess, and fixed it.

@stewievengence the harp was in ocarina of time actually...zelda used it to teach you the warp songs. whats the point in using all the same items again? that would be boring. adapting to the characters style is the most foolish thing i have ever heard, this is a different link, why cant this one be right handed? link has a loftwing now...get over it. i think its cool. and my 10 year old brother managed to get through "these hour long ass puzzles" with no issues...

@SirZidane you never know, the house theme from ALttP is in almost every Zelda after it. epona's theme makes a few returns. the fire temple boss theme in OOT got remixed in TP, so Dark world could get a small remix, its a small chance but would be pretty kickass if it does. i wouldnt be disappointed anyways since SS will still be a great game with/without the song.

@PMMillard A lot of four swords adventures music is remixed Link to the past music. In Fact, a lot of the gameplay is similar as well. Its HEAVILY based off link to the past. When I first played four swords adventure, it almost felt like a multiplayer version of link to the past minus the more linear gameplay+4 person puzzles.

@JollyFootPrint Ok, so essentially if you just enter the dark world without any magical protection (hence that orb) there is a type of magic that will transform you into your true form as reflected from your heart. That is why in the Dark World you fight what look like various creatures with swords and such and Gannondorf looks like a giant monster. Link, being the hero and having a pure heart would reflect something that is similar in animal form.

link to the past is by far my favorite zelda game. it has everything: a huge world + dark world, challenging bosses, large and complex dungeons, tough puzzels, amazing plot, and an epic score of music that will stay in my memory for years to come
