I'd really like to ask him if he'd have liked to have gone on to make the originally planned 7, 8 & 9 as talked about by Gary Kurtz, the episodes which followed on straight after Ep. 6. Supposedly these films would have had him as the only character to survive Ep. 6 as a lone Jedi searching for his sister who was on the other side of the galaxy.

So I'll just say it's my opinion, since I can't speak for anyone else, that the quality of Mark Hamill's voice acting career alone is better that the quality of Ford's entire career. I know what you mean about recognition and body of work, but who knows what people remember in another 30 years, eh? Mickey Rooney was in dozens of films, well paid, a box office draw, but you're lucky if anyone knows who he is now. On the flip side: Orson Welles.

You know, Mark Hamill's career has really been a good one. He always seems courteous in interviews and has probably led a fulfilling life thus far. From Luke Skywalker to Christopher Blair and the Joker (and Cocknocker), his choice of roles is really impressive despite not getting the same hype as Harrison Ford. It doesn't look like fame has gone to his head (or maybe he got over it). Either way, Mark Hamill is a great example of gracefully handling celebrity and coming off thankful to his fans.

He IS the biggest name in Star Wars to most fans; sure he hasn't had the career of Ford and isn't the braintrust like Lucas (which is debatable), but ask any fan who they'd like to see/talk to and most will say "Luke!" Plus, the person being asked to attend has to set a fair price for their time/service and if the bar is too low then it affects them in the long run.

The entire sequence was filmed and post-produced... end of story. There has always been evidence of this in the behind-the-scenes material and Mark even admitted to it at the official unveiling of the clip at Celebration V.

It seems strange that Mark all of a sudden remembered filming the entire scene only moments before George Lucas officially unveiled it to the public.

Ive seen a picture from the original scene. Luke is in the cave but not with his face shadowed but with red light possibly from a fire on him. As for the scene at Celebration, I think they cant find the original or dont want to present it and so they made a fake deleted scene. Lukes chin looks like a bad CGI face. The saber sound is like Anakins when hes about to kill the younglings. And every word Vader speaks hes said somewhere in the 1st 3. So yes there was a scene but this may be a fake!

It's likely that the clip shown at C5 is legitimate. If you look at the end of ROTJ when Luke hugs Han you can see that the profiles match. Plus, knowing that Lucas was probably going to release some future set with all of the OT deleted scenes, he probably told Hamill to keep mum about filming that scene or others so that Lucas could announce it later.

If he had to build it on camera, that might be significant to him
