  • thant distant memories, with my first girlfriend in the twist 1963,c'is love that song

  • 18 years old N I absolutely love 50s to 80s music!! Wish I lived in the 60s

  • Hot girls.

    Miss that era.

Music doesn't seem like much fun now- angry, dubbed endlessly, fewer real musicians playing real music- by that I mean real guys playing real drums and real rythym- not machine made. Good memories- hope the young folk today have as many good times as we did-

    Hope the kids are OK.

  • SUPER

  • i love this song!!

  • This vid should have gotten at least a million views -__-

  • the instrumentation sounds like the same back-up group that did the little eva,s

    the locomotion?

  • very good song

  • The great thing about YT is how it reminds me how many hits groups like the Chiffons had. I think bs revisionist history led me to believe that they were part of some industry hit making machine and ended up as "one hit wonders." Obviously, this wasn't the case.

  • 1963

  • oh my god i used to listen to this all the time on the radio as a little kid

  • We're using this for the teachers

  • @godlovesudoulovehim....sorry for your gran.

  • Were they also singing Hit the road jack?

  • ..and God bless little EVA and .R..I.P...... forever in my heart , the little cutie pie she was.

  • Comment removed

  • The exact words of the billboard hits producers making this song unpopular...."who are these ni**er woman?" Just ashame

  • 6 people suffer from the 21st century music industry disease

  • really good cover sad it wasn't a hit

  • i perfuer kylies one

  • 4 girls who can sing!as I drive thru Motown and Cleveland I think-why are these people all on dope? Thank you for the great Chiffons playlist!

  • Like the Chiffons and Kylie Minogue versons.

  • @JSenator06 Don't forget the original one by Little Eva which was the best.

  • cool one of my many favorite cool magical time machine songs growing up on

  • ahhh so sad .... ok party time come on baby do the locomotion she speaks to you from beyond the grave.

  • i love this song

  • Me encanta esta version de las chiffons, me sorprende el talento de estas mujeres.

  • incredible!!your grandmother just died and you are listening music!!its a little insane isnt it?(for godlovesudoulovehim)

  • @victordaniamandi i dont think its insane....for some ppl, they try to do things to get their mind off of it or to make them feel a little better.

  • "I" always love this song its when music was music...

  • @rperrinejr

there is still music today, you just gotta look

i personally listen to 'Death Cab For Cutie'

  • Oh dear!!! Sorry to hear that. May she rest in peace. Both my Grandmothers have passed, and I still remember their counsel, and how much of them is in me...this song was among their favories also.

  • Two Worlds: INLAND EMPIRE.

  • Sorry! This is "Little Eva"!

  • @kaeserer. No, this isn't Little Eva. Her original version had a faster tempo. This was from One Fine Day album.

  • @kaeserer This is the trio "Chiffons" Little Eva's version is on here to

  • Wow! Great gals. Didn't we have FUN listening to this music? Dancing, roller skating, hanging out. Putting those little gizmos in the 45's to play them on the spidle record changers. Sock hops in the school gum- and Line dances in your socks at high school auditorium during lunch- t shirts and tight jeans and pickle stabber shoes and greased back hair with the spit curl and a rat tail comb in your back pocket.

Do kids today have fun listening to what passes for music? Don't think so.

  • @baghend- us guys used to wear pointy black shoes with big steel tapped heels.. we callem' PFC's

which is short for Puerto Rican Fence Climbers....back when political correctness didn't exist and life was good.

    carl marx sucks.

  • Too bad they don't make music like this anymore. We need sluts and hoes to make music now days. I think that is what the difference is, people in those days had better morals.

  • Is it the same playback Little Eva used?

  • The music of that time was magic and clean, I miss that era so much. Music like this made my childhood beautiful!!!

  • for me the version of Little Eva's better, but it is a matter of taste for each one of us .... still a good Performence

  • wow i never knew they were black! awesome!

  • @thehighestlow2213 What did you think, they were whites?

  • Good art doesn't gets older. I live in Brazil.

  • it is very good!!

i like to risten to this.

  • Lovely.

  • So simple...

  • My favorite version <3

  • Brillent love it great song

    Thanks Judie for sharing

  • LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Beats the h... outta todays music

  • Sounds stronger than a locomotive! Great!

  • The originals are often the best versions when it comes to classics.

  • makes you remember of days past...

  • Just finished my Sophmore Year in H.S. and during the summer, this one girl taugh me the LOCOMOTION DAANCE,,,dammm she was hot too. Such great memories during that decade. Fast cars, great music and a lost era. Thanks to many of the great artist when growing up in Detroit

  • LOL Grand Funk Railroad did a cover of this song. I like it :)

  • hmm but wasnt the locomotion originally sung by little eva? i love the locomotion.. I like 60's old school music..it sounds so..REAL.PURE, UNTOUCHED.. hahah

  • @SuperYukida Yes the original was by Little Eva and the Cokies.

  • CRAZY SOUND!!!

  • I remember when this first came out we all went nuts and couldnt stop dancing

  • An interesting variation from the extremely famous Little Eva hit version. I've never heard this one.

  • Very, very good cover of the song. Thanks a lot for the upload.

  • Amazing sound and voices rythm wow love the 60s

  • Fantastic!!

  • I always thought Little Eva did this song..

  • Haven't heard this song in years. Still just as good.

  • i`m sorry

  • This is truly good music where people could really sing. The Chiffons are one of my favorite groups and I didn't even grow up in the 60s, I grew up in the 80s. I think the 50s and 60s were the greatest years in music especially for for R&B, Doo Wop and Rock 'n Roll.

  • OMG... come on..jump back to the sixties...the best memories. This was HIP!! So glad to have "been there!" Come on ...people

  • @Robina9th This Is Right! The Sixties Lives Forever! C'mon YouTube People, Choose True Music!

  • @godlovesudoulovehim Maybe she's doin' the Locomotion with the Lord! :)

God loves you all in Christ. The next time you see she will look so much better.

  • @godlovesudoulovehim : Sorry about your Grandmother , but look at it this way , now she is feeling good and rocking in heaven...I believe that any music that is clean and makes you feel good has got to be there also....I am a grandfather and still Rocking and Rolling....Rock on , the old Rock is still the best

  • @godlovesudoulovehim : Lol, i know its not appropriate to laugh. I lol´d anyway :)

2 hrs since your granny died and you went in Youtube?

  • that's GREEAAAAAAAT!!!!

  • i love the chiffons, one of my favs. their songs are in all my fav films!

  • niccee song! Not as good as Little Eva or Grand Funk Railroad, but still goood!

  • haha, love it

  • Just great!!!

  • we all need a little lift. go girls!

  • Interesting notes here -- the pianist makes a mistake near the first break, the ending vocals are muddled, and the lead vocalist carries the final word of each line out. Every cover of this song has very interesting characteristics about it, including the instrumentation.

  • Ironically, Little Eva originally recorded ONE FINE DAY, written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin (Eva was Louise Goffin's babysitter). Eva's vocals were removed and replaced by the Chiffons, thus giving them their second Top 10 hit in 1963.

  • chiffons = little eva??

  • Do U remember your 1st song ever? Well this is mine. Born 1967. Does anyone know the year this song was recorded.

  • around '62 or '63

  • I purchased this song by Little Eva sometime in 63'. I still have the original 45'. She was the original recorder-not the Chiffons.

  • '63

  • in 1962

  • One of the best Chiffon songs.

  • great song, great video
