  • That so much energy could be expended over such time and still have to so little to show for the effort... Considering the subject matter one would have hoped for better... How disappointing.

  • i dont want to see movies wtf

  • 240p we meet again.

  • Tai chi shity compared to mma? Tell that to the shaolin monks... true konf fu and tai chi masters.

  • wtf i'm watching man

    so much fantasy here

  • Jet Li will be doing "Tai Chi 2" in 2013!!! YES!!!!

  • @adlkdflsk

You don't see straight up tai chi in MMA but doesn't mean it's shitty.. There are a lot of great applications in tai chi. Even w/o the fighting aspect of it, tai chi is still used in everyday life for health benefits.

  • @southfistkid & adlkdfisk what's MMA stand for hmm? Mixed Martial Arts. The arts have grown to be an adaptation of multiple arts combined. Look at what Bruce Lee did. He created his own style. Is it better than others? IMO nope it's like my style, it's my own, which is, I'm trying to discover the Arts as the Founders did so many years ago. I'm looking to Nature and letting it guide me. When I make a mistake I truly have learned something!

  • @adlkdflsk dude wat u in grade 10, mma is fkin shitty just like wwf,,,,,it takes skills in tai chi and karate nd mma is just the basics of it.

  • @adlkdflsk

U cant compare MMA to tai chi because MMA is a combination of many sports/martial arts like boxing, wrestling, kickboxing, judo, BJJ etc

  • @adlkdflsk

so many people like you say 'ohh tai chi is shit comnpared to MMA'. how can you compare a single martial art (tai chi) to a combination of martial arts (MMA)? use your brain

  • @adlkdflsk every move in Tai Chi has a purpose. You can't compare it to mma like that.

  • @adlkdflsk depends on the martial artist

  • @adlkdflsk no too sure about tai chi although i imagine so as its basically a more advance version of karate (and im generalising there) but kmepo karate is banned in mma and ufc because it ends fights too quickly

  • @adlkdflsk MMA has power & versatility, but Tai Chi should not be dismissed since it focuses on redirection, which is ideal for countering the directness of MMA fighters. When MMA fighters deflect, they only do so enough to open the opponent up for another isolated attack, without disabling them for as long as most soft martial arts techniques would. Opening for a direct attack is eventually predictable. Soft martial arts disable an opponent long enough to have a diverse array of linked options.

  • The funny part is that shaolin monks don't know tai chi.

  • @009jorge1 The Shaolin monks don't do tai chi in the movie. They do Shaolin kung fu. Only Jet Li does tai chi. He plays the inventor of tai chi.

  • Man, I have been looking for this everywhere, I didn't know the name, thankyou so much!

Compare this to other martial arts shit, you'll always find this way better.

It has awesome battle scenes as well as soundtrack :)

  • tai chi baters

  • Clearly I need more practice!

  • Before Matrix these are the cool movies with cool amazing effects

  • @deva930 They still are cool as fuck!

  • @deva930 have you watched the IP Man and IP Man 2 movies? I think those blow the doors off the Matrix even though I heard that they filmed them slowly and then sped up the footage to make it more realistic. I love the Matrix movie but Love IP Man even more! My opinion of who's best to some is a stretch but the best is the Founders of the Arts, not those who build upon them even though some consider them to be better. Most learn from others and expand and adapt it to themselves. All R Great

  • Cattivissimi! =)

  • woher kommt immer der ganze staub auf den typen? Ôo

  • wtf is 1:26 doing here ?! xD

  • who is the name of this song?

  • 1:42 wow.....

  • WHAT'S MOVIE NAME>???

  • who are the bad guys? the mongols?

  • 1:43 wtf?

  • i wish i can attain such discipline

  • i love the 90s kung fu movies..full of goodies..no guns or bomb used..just plain smack n whack^^.

  • I can't beleive the stuff we hear about martial arts. So much myth. Real life fighting is messy. Opponents don't just stand around waiting for your perfect delivery of a spectacular move. Those who practise it for years know its limitations and learn respect for all opponents - or pay the price.

  • Kung fu (or in this case I guess Tai-chi) a art that takes years to master so hollywood can make bad movies

  • well, that's jet li over there, the main character.

  • 1:53, ultra fake... just watch...

  • They're literaly head bashing each other upside down LOL too funy XD

  • ooooh waterbenders, earthbenders, firebenders, and airbenders. wow.

  • i love these arts! all of them! but i am too old to start the excersise now!!! i am 24 years old...

  • LEAF BENDING!!

  • @dancentb : Phim nay o Viet Nam phat hanh la Thai Cuc

  • tai chi is supposed to make you better with real kung fu because it helps you maintain harmony with your surroundings

  • the title of this movie is "last hero in china" ive seen it before...

  • i thought that it would end ith a kamekameah

  • that looked like chickenbending

  • 0:47 kinda sped up xD

  • Sorry, we dont need fake kung fu, jet li is fake kung fu.

  • @john64chjohn

we don't need "real" kung-fu as well. truth behind any martial art is - it was created to kill. not "to protect" or "to prevent", but "to kill". there is no place for martial arts to our current society. time of martial arts is gone. it's over.

"Shaolin" is just a trade mark, a good business which still makes a lot of profit.

  • fakee

  • Ive seen this movie before o_o

  • umm this movie was called Twin Warriors wasnt it? nmot tai chi masters

  • @nijublu

Yeah there were two names for this movie... One was Twin Warriors and the other was Tai Chi Master... It does get confusing... ;)

  • @southfistkid oh, i thought they were two seperate movies altogether, (although i have not seen the one named Taichi Master yet). My Bad.

  • @southfistkid kinda like how there is 2 Fists of Fury with Bruce Lee. Chinese Connection and Big Boss. PICK ONE AND STICK WITH IT DAMMIT! XD

  • @nijublu no only Tai Chi

  • @nijublu i think its tai chi master cuz if u translate chinese name to nglish it should be tai chi zhang shan feng. zhang shan feng is one of the most famouse taichi master xD just saying it ....

  • @nijublu uh yea it was......actually..i have the dvd

  • @nijublu tai chi masters was the original name

  • iron gook fist

  • You sound like one of them NWO cooks.

  • @1PostPoMoMaN1 and you sound like a mindless sheep

sorry to break it to you but you are nothing but a slave to the government

  • @grimmenigma949

    1. You are not sorry.

    2. I don't sound like a mindless sheep, although I appreciate the sentiment.

    3. Iron gook fist says it all, you assumptions don't.

I'm no less a slave to the government than you. I'm not American, to point out something almost irrelevant.

Drugs, alcohol and prostitutions are one of the many tools "the government" uses around the world, and from what I can read from your user properties, you profess the aforementioned. I appreciate the sentiment.

  • @1PostPoMoMaN1 every nation is ruled by a form of government not just america

also, who doesnt like drugs booze and bitches, although i see your point when you say we are both slaves but you fail to realize the reasons why we conform

    or at least my reasons

thanks for the well thought out and intelligent reply thought its a first

but if you dont think there is going to be a new world order that i hope you are the first to endure the oppression

  • I think there is some kind of a new world order (old world white/zionist-atlantean quasiprophetic-power-elite order, actually) in place, kind of. There are two possibilities for now: the bad and the good. There is going to be a global society, either what is feared or what is sought. oH AND THEN there's disclosure. The NWO in its negative form as it is in place now, is actually an alien agenda

  • @1PostPoMoMaN1 very interesting, i didnt think of a positive nwo but then again if everyone would conform to one global government, then that would mean there would be world peace witch will NEVER happen. but yes you are right

a group of crazy white cult leaders do own the world in a way

  • @grimmenigma949

    Glad we mostly agree.

I think a unified world without destroyed cultures or stagnating service and servitude to self and in-group is possible, even without animosity or corruption. It takes a real spiritual transformation to achieve, it has to do with the activation of what scientists erroneously and colloquially call junk DNA, which is 97 % of DNA.

There has been a secret space program in collusion with negative ETs, the humans involved are all white, there is a fleet too.

  • @grimmenigma949

Research the CIA's drug cartels and front corporations, as well as NSA and FBI mind control. IF you know it, live it. :)

  • @grimmenigma949

I just noticed that iron gook fist has its subtleties and nuances I missed.

  • @yourallstoopid

    Doncha worry, though.

  • where can I look at it, but in German

  • what omg can you send me somehow?

  • i have a VHS version of this.. hehehehe

  • lol

  • It's a group of WATERBENDERS! lol I'm just kidding, this was really cool.

  • @daxter714, You say this on all the videos, do you see any water? They are AIR benders, not the same.

  • If you knew anything about avatar:tla and I mean ANYTHING you would know that there are 4 different types of martial arts and tai chi is the one used for WATERBENDING not airbending, so your dumb and I was being funny for the people that understand that,.

  • @seanamico you are right, i think that the waterbenders use wushu as their martial arts . especially since i read that wushu is the art of the never-ending circle.

  • @nijublu, That is what I have learned & was not trying to fight with this guy but he is just rude & has no commonsense to look it up. thank you.

  • this was tight. I saw it in the 90's.

  • Love this movie. Its a must see for any martial arts fan!!!

  • the ending is pretty sad yet epic

  • isn't tai chi daoist, not buddhist?

  • @midgetcuber Yes

  • love this movie

  • ur friend talks too much

  • there was a monk who meditated deeply, and discovered the moves that mimicks nature with energy into use with the human form.

tai chi uses the enemies force as defence. the harder the enemy attacks, the harder the enemy falls.

tai chi excercises in this modern day is the slow form, if you can master it and use it quickly, you will be suprised how powerful it can be.

im no genius to this... my friend told me all this as he is keen on this subject...

but like i said, i could be wrong.

  • correct me if im wrong... i think im wrong but some points may be right..

tai chi was once banned in china long ago. an emperor's army could not defeat a shaolin temple for some reason. the monks were too strong against the army. the emperor then had to resort to firepower which was introduced from the western country.

the temple was taken over, tai chi's quick defensive deadly moves were banned.

then long after tai chi : the form of excercise, was introduced back into china.

  • i'm not really sure what happened. I remember reading about how the government was afraid that the monks would rebel and so the Shaolin temple was burnt down. Actually it was burnt down a few times throughout history and was rebuilt. i think the government also tried to band most of the martial arts in china because they were afraid of rebellion. Ever since modern wushu started to become more popular it's taken over most of the kung fu schools around.

  • @southfistkid frm wat I have read Mao zhe dong banned martial arts practices in fear of being assassinated. So he replaced traditional martial arts with wushu, its more like acrobat with flashy moves but much less effective than original martial art.

  • @southfistkid tai chi chuan is from wudang,it never originated in shaolin, this movie tells the story of great master chang san feng, who got sick and tired of the very hard training regime in the shaolin, the monks train day in day out and all of there moves are based on attack.finally he wanted to have nothing to do with kung fu ..he moved to wudang mountain, and dreamd that god was teaching him kung fu one night, next day he was witness to a fight between a crane and a snake...tai chi was born

  • @Draqonfly

From what I'm aware first of all Tai Chi was developed and practiced not by SHAOLIN monks but Taoist monks in temples across Wudang mountain. However it is true that Tai Chi was found to be too dangerous, thus it was forbidden and the military developed a new form of Tai Chi that was mercilessly crippled (as you said, it was more a form of excercise than actual martial arts.) I believe it's commonly known as "Pekin style" and it was THIS style that was first delivered to the west.

  • @Draqonfly

Tai Chi come from Wu Dong, not Shalin Temple (although the founder did started off as a monk in Shalin). He invented Tai Chi after years meditation.

Not sure if Tai Chi was banned or not, but Shalin Kung Fu was definitely banned at at least 2 occasions after the students took part trying to overthrow the ruling emporer.

  • @Draqonfly Not really what happened at all. The powerful fighting form of Tai Chi was a tradition carried on by the Chen family. A few hundred years ago a man called Yang Lu Chan learned Chen family Tai Chi and ended up being asked to teach it to the Royals of the Manchu Court. Being royals, they didn't want to exert themselves so he essentially re-built Tai Chi to be a light and easy form of exercise - aka : Yang Style Tai Chi. This, and its descendents, is the garbage you see everywhere.

  • @Draqonfly well, alot of its history is in the past lol. all i know is that from all the stories and mythos surrounding the temple that shaolin accepted all people from all walks of life with various martial and political backrounds. you see what im getting at? thats what made shaolin a target and simultaneously strong spiritualy and martially

  • @Draqonfly i know ur post is 5 months old but the monks used shaolin kung-fu ur right bout them resorting to firepower. kung-fu was banned from china, after the movie jet -li s' first movie about shaolin monks was introduced the martial was accepted back into china. witch soon people started to make shaolin training centers to make a profit. most of the REAL monks no longer exist.

  • @Draqonfly just wanted to add in i believe it was the qing dynasty that wanted the removal of the shaolin temples.

  • @Draqonfly hmm i dunno man. tai chi is a way of "gathering chi" or limbering up as we say in the west. its a little more complex ofc and its somewhat a religious twist to it aswell. as for firepower, it was the east, as china and japan, that introdused it to the west via the silk road. way back be4 any1 found the seaway there.

  • @Draqonfly tell me if im stupid or not :/...but is that real life or movie?

  • @Draqonfly i dont know much about what you said but i do know that gunpowder was invented in china so part of ur story wasn't right

  • Comment removed

  • @Walerka11 nope the chinese invented it in 1132 AD it was primitive but it was a kind of gun

  • @limitedeagle94 nice

  • @Draqonfly The Chinese made the first gun powder.. History lesson anyone?

  • @Vatoaztecas they have invented gun powder, not fire arms.

  • @Walerka11

Also, the Chinese had Cannons for ships by 1400.

  • wots the name of this film....somethink brothers???????
