Yes, your right. When assembling the lenses you would always want to use the tissue paper the lenses were packed in or gloves. For this video we wanted to be clear on how the lenses fit together so we decided to bypass the tissue paper.
Hey can I as you something....I don't know how much you really know about this telescope. Is it possible to attach a "star diagonal" to the end of the scope so I don't need neck surgery from trying to look through it, LoL
It's that piece that fit on the end and turn 90 degrees so you can look through it more easily. I've been hearing conflicting opinions on it. The designers say no, but I've heard some amateur astronomers says yes it's possible.
"The Galileoscope is designed to be used without a star diagonal. Although we haven't tried every diagonal produced, there is not enough in focus for most diagonals to work.
You may be able to use a diagonal with the Barlow lens, but you will have a much reduced field of view and objects appear dimmer when using the Barlow."
