james2:18 but someone will say,"you have faith and i have works." show me your faith apart from your works and i will show you faith by my works.

So you need faith but you also need works through faith.

what i mean at 2 is even though there is freewill to do what you want to do you still are to be judged because the freewill is a decision to love God or not pretty much which would include doing his will. So what you do and your actions show your decision on the matter. So you can't just can't proclaim you are christian during judgement and you need a faith in him to come to him so you can't just do works to get to heaven

and another reason why your story of the mugger doesn't parrallel the truth is unlike the mugger you have no reason to reject God as he gives all your needs better then what you can find and have no reason to refuse him other then to deny him and hate his essence, and all he stand for. And that is peace, order , Love and basically everything in Galatians 5:22.

I asked a nmber of questions in my comment and as 99.9% of replies none were answerd. Perhaps you can dispence with the mumbo jumbo and see if you can answer all questions and if you reply with more questions or preaching without giving an answer then you have indeed failed to see logic .

I think he means that a sign that God loves us is because he lets us do what we want. He trys and use things in life to bring us closer and we we still reject him it is because we can't be changed. Sure he could force us to like him but that would probaly be a hateful;l God that woulod send us to hell and just make new people for his enjoyment

@stonewall1888 you just said you knew that he knew we would be weak with that free will. It wouldn't be free will if we didn't have the choice to reject him. His works are perfect but even then when he trys to do good on those who reject his works and depend on there own will and works and if we reject his works, hate him and depend on our own works which have fallacy how can even his works have any effect on you.

@notdead31 Of course he could make us not have freewill but that would go against 1corinthians chapter 13 which to summarize it for you means that even with all the power in the world or even the universe if you have no love you are nothing. Now if he didn't allow freewill that wouldn't be love would it? He might have known the we would defy him before he made us but if he knew that he probaly knew the love he had for us before he made us to giving another explanation to your freewill question

Give you a daft example but the point is clear.

You get mugged the robber says " you have a choice" which is give him your wallet freely and he walks away or dont and get assulated then get your wallet taken away, two choices but none really free,.

If you wanna go that's your choice.

Even though you have freewill there is no reason to reject him by any logic. And even then he would probably let the people go free but he uses the people as an example to keep the people who choose him. You might say that goes against free will but really he might have made hell for the people in heavens sake and for the people he condemns.

@notdead31 I mean this goes to what was said earlier he made us even though he loved us most likely. But we were also made for a purpose going against him defeats that. And if he didn't punish the people against him everyone would fall.

And plus people that go to hell would probably end up close to the same misery if not more. I mean do you really think you could do the things you like on this earth forever without getting bored of it after so long and just start having a bad life?

@notdead31 And that is also true because we were made for God the Father we wern't made to divert from that. You might say thats against freewill but he loves his followers he wouldn't force people to work for him so he sets them free. If you leave you leave his objective which since you aren't doing his will you have no purpose and would eventually get bored of worldly things like games and never would come back after that and come to hate life enough for it to probably be just like hell.

@notdead31 Which this says that also the heavens will be shaken showing that it isn't perfect yet either yet as verse 27 says this indicates the removal of things that are shaken.

Since Heaven is also shaken it shows it is not yet perfect

And by what i know it seems when they say heaven they mean the sky and the universe. and as a supporting factor genesis 3:8 part A- and they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden cool of the day,.

It sounds like heaven fell a bit to if it can be shook. also verse 27 see below shows that that is to change.

Just like how a earthquake destroys buildings and shows the weakness of an object so is what is happening now by the looks and sounds of it.

And most of choices that mankind have made is the total failure and destruction towards their world. But god calls his people to speak in front of those who seeks to turn from their sins.

It should dawn on us the perfect plan must come from the perfect God. I like how the story says that the mother took pictures of her self... "My God, my God why hast thou forsaken me?" simply means what it says. Jesus felt forsaken, the Father in whom He believed did not declare Himself and intervene to save him...theologians simply muddy the waters/reality by arguing that the father allowed Jesus to feel the pain of an ordinary human for the perfect sacrifice to happen.

We can't save ourselves yet our works are important to salvation...bit contradictory no?

@enniopat He couldn't save him, it was just that Jesus suffered so terrible that he cried to the Father to let the suffering end. And the Father stopped it. Perhaps you would also suffer, being whipped terribly with horrible metal things, spit at, humiliated, forced to carry a heavy cross, and then slowly suffocating on the terrble torturing cross...

If Jesus hadn't been a human - how could he ever have understood us? And he lives today, his Grace reaches out to us, Bless the Lord!

One has to assume we are all sinners and that only God can remedy the sin problem! Yet what is sin if not ignorance at times or a legitimate desire at other times?And then what of the consequences? Adulterers to suffer in Hell ? Jesus did not condemn Mary of Magdala but the Father will?

Sit down and start thinking. Christianity is all contradictory and disjointed in its message.! Do not be so arrogant (you Christians!) you have no answers only problems

Nice story, but to use this story to say the bible is true is not logical.

Any religion or moral teacher can come up with this story...to use a story like this and press people to believe in the redemption theology just does not follow.

The jews beat you to it long ago and other cultures can also match it.

Best if you start revising/discarding concepts of Christ's sacrifice and the idea that without Christ we are lost.

If you want truth go to maths and science they have some and seeking more!!!!
