cute im sitting here watching this with my own foz terier i wish lassie can do dose tricks but all he does is eat sleep and poo and be lovenale with his cutnes but 1 prob hes fat no tail no balls and im sure hes a boy so thats 3 pribs but hes still cute love u boy
@moodmd Tyler was sold as a show prospect an returned to the breeder because he got too tall (over sized) so he was re-homed (with me!). So yes, he is a big TFT (too big).
Hehe I have a smooth fox terrier and she too does the over-enthusiastic 'fling self at Food Lady's feet' when I give her the down command. I think she believes she'll get extra credit for dramatic effect :P
@cuba93 YES - search the Yahoo Groups for a TFT Breeder's list. Lurk on that list until you get a good idea about which breeders are in it just for their own egos and who is in it to better the breed - then buy from a breeder who makes breeding decisions based on health testing and what is best for the breed, not "just" the show ring...
I'm really dying to get one of these dogs--they're so adorable, and look like a lot of fun. Are they typically easy to train, or did you have him trained professionally?
@RockRebel219 I trained him mysellf - he is HIGHLY food motivated! I would think that they are typically easy to train but I don't know for certain as he is the first TFT I've owned. I love him - he's a great lap dog and provides lots of entertainment!
U know whats weird my TFT looks way different from all the others I've seen. He's all white with black ears, and he doesn't have a short stubby tail like the others. Hes tail curls. It hard to train cause he's a pup he's always jumping and sniffing for new things. TFTs are the coolest dogs in the world and Ur dog shows that Great vid.
Tyler is soooo adorable!! He had me laughing so loudly trying to anticipate what command you were going to give next. He is precious. Thank you for sharing.
You too huh? I love the fact that that theme is playing in the backround. I don't know if it was intentional or not...but the last time my beloved toy fox terrier was alive was the year that "Ocarina of Time" was released...so there's a real irony here for me.
OMG!!! your tyler is very well trained!! i have a TFT too it was easy to teach him how to "talk" the hard part its to silence him jajaja. great video!
Thanks 2wisdom3... I don't talk like that all of the time - just when training. You're right, Tyler likes the silly voice - gets him excited and motivated!
My beloved fox terrier Kachu, who passed away like 3 years ago, used to hunt mice and rats too! oh boy I miss her so much, but I am proud me and my family gave her a happy life and I am thankful for the happy moments we spend together.
Tyler is such a smart little dog! did it take a long time for him to master his tricks? i'm getting mine tft is about 4 weeks and was hoping to do the same. btw, is Tyler about 6lbs grown? i'm trying to get an idea of what mine will look like. Thnks!
reimersholme9 is correct that this dog is not a fox terrier - he/she just failed to notice the word TOY! He/she also exhibits bad manners - we aren't idiots... we're fools for cute little toy fox terriers!
@agapemom Looks exactly like a Rat Terrier. We have one almost identical to your dog and the mannerisms are alike, color, face, ears and personality. And absolutely a joy to live with.
@reimersholme9 ur a fucking dumbass its a toy fox terrier the whole world doesnt need u saying its not a fox terrier when we know that. look whos the fucking idiot now
Wow! Tiger has a good everything. Have you seen our dog yet? Mya? I think you have. Mya would love on your dog as well. Sheesh! The whole family would love your whole family! More reason for ya'll to move down!!!! wINK!
I got a toy fox terrier, the only things he knows is T-R-E-A-T, sit, shake, and B-A-T-H. But he runs away when we say bath, lol. same thing spelling it too. He just gets excited when we say or spell treat.
YES I have a recommendation... Join the Yahoo Group TFTs4show and stay on that list getting to know the breed and the breeders. Whenever I get a pet - if I can't get what I'm looking for at the pound, I go to show breeders because they test for health. The TFT show breeders are a very wonderful group of people who are not snotty or exclusive. Lots of help and good advice on that list!

Hi there... he sleeps in a different crate on my oldest son's bed. We only use that crate to feed Tyler in because he would finish his and eat all of Rusty's food if we didn't keep Tyler in his crate until Rusty had a chance to finish!
Lucky me... Tyler has both brains and "all stomach". It's the fact that he would do just about ANYTHING for food that he is so easy to train and the fact that he is so smart that the training goes so quickly and smoothly!
haha! I've got a fox terrier as well. Mine is not so smart though, she's scared of everything (she was abused for 2 years before i got her). Is yours jumping like crazy as well?
This video makes me miss my mini-fox 'Gertie' so bad. I had to temporarily give her away when I moved and haven't yet found a place that allows pets. These are the smartest and most playful, loving and loyal dogs. We didn't dock Gertie's tail or clip her ears but she's still adorable. Tyler is awesome and he seems like he's well behaved. They're so easy to train. I love mini-fox's!
His name is Tyler and he is supposed to sit when told to sit and go to his crate when told to go to his crate! At the time of the video, we had only taught him those three commands (down, sit, and "go to your crate") now he also knows how to jump through our arms when we make them into a "hoop" for him.
TFT's are extremely smart dogs. I thought my other dog was dumb until I realized it was the TFT that was too smart. You have to spell words around him as he understands full phrases. It would be a cold day in hell before I could train him to go in his crate by himself though. A slab of ribs wouldn't get him in there unwillingly.
