But what message does it say? I imagined it saying, "Hey! No one going to get away with making me ride when they can't pay a simple fine! Step outside Deadbeat!!" I think the restore message says, (Money is everything[heading]) "Unfortunately, your lack of dollars has cost you your life. Next time try gambling and avoid deficit spending!"
I found out that if you attempt to pay him without sufficient money, you see the message ("Whaddya mean no money!" the driver snarls. "Step outta my office, chump!!")

If you attempt to pay the cabbie when you don't have enough money, you get the same death as if you try to leave without paying.
