  • Chris Angel levitates a couple inches off the ground? Big deal. I kiss ass running on the ceiling.

    -Joseph Gordon Levitt

  • this should of won best fight scene!

  • DO A BARRELROLL!

  • He does the Matrix better than the Matrix o.O

  • You're all delusional idiots...Christopher Nolan and his crew just went inside of the dream and filmed there.

  • he has my last name! or do i have his?

  • Did anyone else LOL at the characters' faces when the van was falling in slow motion?

  • @Pevensify what's funny about a sleeping face?

  • @kryps1 Something about their euphoric expressions and the way they moved in slow motion was just amusing to me. It had my whole family laughing.

  • I think the camera was a bit to close to the fighting.

  • Who said white boys can't jump?

  • When i was watching this movie, I thought of the closer to reality you were in the dream phases the safer you were and most likely to get out alive lol. Those dudes in the normal dream and the dream within a dream are the safest, for example lol.

  • Stupid MTV movie awards....this losing to twilight for best fight? gtfo

  • @davedirector7 It did?! MTV can go suck it

  • Here is an interesting fact about the hallway scene. That hallway is an actual rotating hallway and not special effects.

  • @themightyjoseph Fred Astair did the exact same thing way back in a film called "The Royal Wedding" where he danced on the walls and on the roof... but instead of the audience seeing the room rotate the camera rotated with it so the floor was always in the right place... pretty cool for 1951 aye? =D

  • So the guy is asleepin a dream wich then he goes into a dream in a dream, he fights a guy in a hallway and the hallway is rotating due to him being in a car in a dream that's doing lots of barrelrolls...

  • I wonder what would happen if they weren't all rotating.

    The world would get messy.

  • i love how is the end of this van/slow mo scene yusuf is like, "did ya see dat?!" to everyone asleep!

  • Who's he fighting? (actors name)

  • the music is freaking epic!

  • In one take.

  • @2dansonfan I don't think they did any CGI. Christopher Nolan put the actors on this hallway strapped to this rotating ring and then make them fight while manipulating gravity. He made it really realistic.

  • I can just imagine the conversation when Nolan got someone to build this for him

    Nolan: I need a hallway

    Easy enough

Nolan: Like, I need you to build me a hallway, that's like, seperate from the rest of the hotel

    ...okay....

Nolan: And it needs to rotate

    ..............

  • @swimteamizzle1114 What the Nolan wants, the Nolan gets

  • @swimteamizzle1114 (response) Okay :(

  • 12 people actually tried to recreate this in real life and failed.

  • That was so SICK!

  • Joseph Gordon Levitate is sexy as hell.

  • You can recreate this scene in real life by spinning around 20 times on the stop and then running down a hallway.

  • WTF the interview came out of nowhere I thought it was just a scene someone uploaded, for a second I think I just woke up from a freakin dream

  • @Ninety9Soulz ---- lol

  • one of the best scene of the movie.

  • i tried recreating this scene at home...i am now in hospital

  • And I was like; screw you! Im gonna walk up this wall!

  • I noticed (and this is an observation, not a criticism) that Christopher Nolan seems to love using the theme of human psychology in his films

    Inception- Dreams/Subconsciousness

Dark Knight- Mind of a Psychopath (the Joker)

    Prestige- Optical Illusions/Visual Deception

    Memento- Memory

  • @Posmeallie

You missed out Batman Begins- Fear

  • @Posmeallie yeah because thats what it says on imdb about christopher nolans trade mark... ive read it.

  • hes so hawt:)

  • The music is universally accepted as epic

  • This is the scene in the trailers that made me go see this movie-and I wasn't disappointed.

  • This actor is so good. I would never be able to do that sequence but i would love to try!!!!!!

  • Is this the one that won the spike best fight scene?

  • Dude the quality is so horrible look at how the hallway looks. It's not that dull beige color its freaking glowing orange lol. Anyways nice vid :)

  • 12 got their ass kicked in a dream

  • better than avatar!

  • @10337152

this movie shat on avatar! :D

  • Cool! Piper Perabo!

  • Zero CGI in the whole fight scene.

    BRILLIANT!

  • No, no, no, JGLevitate, thou must never shave your lovely hair ever again.

  • Dude I think this scene of the hotel is the most exited in the movie because of the gravity and the van rolling in slow motion

  • Cool!

  • Da Da Daaam Da Da Daaam Da Da Daaam

I love this. Soundtrack is Aweasome

  • whoever is the cinematographer of this movie is a camera GENIUS, not up for discussion

  • @peelgrapes14 Wally Pfister, the cinematographer who's done ALL of Chris Nolan's movies, except Following. :)

  • @VastedCouth he should finally win an oscar for this movie!! batman begins, prestige, and dark knight he was nominated but didnt win! hopefully..he should win!

  • Joseph Gordon Levitt is no longer his real name. His new name is Joseph Gordon Levitate.

  • @InterludeTV haha, love it!

  • @InterludeTV your a fucking fag dude. I hope you feel real fucking good about your thumbs up.

  • @TheFlexQuest Wow. Someone's sure gets ticked off easily....

  • @InterludeTV

    boo. get off the stage.

  • Is it me or does Joseph Gordon Levitt look a bit like Heath Ledger?

  • @xXxLAMBOFGOD12xXx You're right!!Was thinking just the same thing!!!

  • One of the greatest movie scenes ever

  • @bogypetkov totally agree. the soundtrack just enhances it don't you think?

  • Its amazing they did this scene with a small amount of CG

  • Wait... so while the hotel is spinning like a record (baby right round), what's happening to the other team members? I mean unless they are glued to the ground, they're going to go flying everywhere. So shouldn't the snow mountain dream also be in chaos in this moment?

  • @CarrionSpirit No, it only penetrated one level, that's why they have to line up the kicks to escape in the first place.

  • @CarrionSpirit

No. Yusuf had to much champagne and had to pee so the world HE created was raining. Then in the van, arthur created the next dream level (the hotel) so the effect of the rotating vehicle only affects him and the others in his dream, however they are all asleep again in Eames' dream not feeling these effects, plus the sedation. the musical cues are then used to syncronize the various kicks to ride back the levels

  • what does extraction mode mean in the bluray dvd for inception?

  • @yourdarkestknight It's basically the making of for inception, scene by scene. If you get to a technical scene, it kinda fades out into the making of that scene. The scene in this video is one such example. You can also watch the making of segments seperately of the movie, but extraction basically weaves the making of into the movie itself, if you're a fanboy.

  • fight scenes usually bore me coz they're pretty much alike BUT THIS SCENE IS JUST JAW-DROPPING GENIUS!

  • 12 peole got motion sickness

  • this fight was ended by a bullet shot in the mouth of the subconsсious-guy.... no. he died because that bullet flew out from his ass.right?

  • Golden Globes is BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Excellent soundtrack! great film and great director! GUYS check out our channel for new short films including our recent instalment "ACE" Teaser Trailer....story of a HITMAN!

  • Thats actually NOT how they did it,

they built a spinning hallway, and suspended the actors with wires and the camera was stationed on the floor

  • I absolutely love this scene to pieces.

  • I want to rotate in a hallway...

  • Not to come across as anything I'm not, but this scene was trippy.

  • Thumbs Up ! if this scene made you go watch the movie !

  • best bit is wen they all lift up in the air in the van

  • my fav bit is in the snow base

  • @Hitman3076 Yeah !! Reminds my of call of duty everytime haha

  • LOVE. SO MUCH LOVE. FAVORITE MOVIE EVER.

  • i liked it when Arthur's feet flew up in the air :)

& i always thought the motion at 0:13 to 0:15 was so badass. well fuck this whole scene is badass, they should make an inception theme park. I would play in this hallway all day. xD

  • @MixedCDsPwn Loser you need to go out and do something with yer life. ;)

  • wtf is Yusuf doing up there?

  • so am i the only one who notices or am i just blind? in this epic fight that was iconic, where is the clip of arthur stepping from one side of the hall to the next like a boss. you know what im talking about if you've seen this movie, cause i can't find it in the dvd or the bluray. i don't think it's in this movie, but if u can find it point it out to me please

  • @LordRickIV put it on "extraction mode" on bluray.

  • @rottenlove420 oh, i see now. thank you kindly

  • greatest fight scene ever.

  • which television show is this?

  • @crazytrayzee its inception you know the movie with leonardo dicaprio lol

  • @starmahou sigh.... i've watched this film more than 5 times. you're not reading my question here. i'm asking about this television show with this guy interviewing joseph gordon-levitt.

  • @crazytrayzee Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

  • on the soundtrack. . . what's this song called?

  • @mlucyk Hans Zimmer - Dont Think About Elephants (Inception)

  • @BlindmindProd Thanks

  • Proud of you Joseph! ;)

  • omg, joseph gordon levitt's character kicked so much ass in this movie!!!

  • Dang, this is so smexy. <3

  • The dream is collapsing....

  • Hans Zimmer's best work since Crimson Tide. Period.

  • no stunt double, no cgi. thumbs up for Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

  • @wowt Hell, yes. The man...is awesome.

  • @wowt and Chris Nolan!

  • @wowt Aww no thumbs up for anonymous hotel grunt?

  • @wowt Dude, I'd do that myself too, this looks damn fun

  • Pure awsoness

  • As a dude, I can safely say that this dude is a badass. And I wish I was him. lol.

  • @EventuallyWeMerge I totally know what you mean man

  • it doesnt get any more classic then this

  • I love how Dream Level 2 was originally for Eames and Level 3 for Arthur.

I guess Eames, being the more badass of the two was more suitable for the hardships in Level 3 and Arthur, being the classier one, gets the hotel.

  • There is no way that any other movie can win Best Picture of 2010.

  • Seriously...How did they do this???

  • @MidjettKiDx Well the hallway is actually literally rotating 360 degrees when they filmed it and the camera was attached to the floor and they had to learn to move in this corridor. Its crazy the video is somewhere here on youtube although the quality in this video looks quite bad, the hallway looks nothing like that lol its a bright orange color.

  • @JustCause2Chaos, I wasn't talking about how the film was made.

  • I want him for christmas.

  • @bilinny09 I lol'd.

  • Swesome clip, but the hallway isn't rotating. Whatever happens in the real world efects the dream :-P. Not sure of the technical term

  • an awesome movie and the scene with no CGI ! directing talent right there and showing respect to the viewing audience for allowing us a film that doesnt spoon feed us the story etc...

    top stuff!!

this movie i WILL actually get the DVD for

  • Comment removed

  • All those stunts without CGI. Thanks Nolan!!

  • Whoever missed seeing this movie in IMAX deserves to be slapped

  • Got my copy on Blu-ray, baby!!!!

  • @CandyAppleRed13 Same here! *hi-five*

  • Toy story 3 is movie of the year. But Inception is number 2!

  • @TheJacobwoodward its best animated movie of this year. To you maybe it is movie of the year.

  • That some of the most extraordinary shit every caught on camera...Hats off to the crazy genius that is Mr Christopher Nolan..

  • Why didn't Arthur wake up from the van tipping over?

  • The soundtrack is AMAZING

  • @Kalzay Hans Zimmer

  • @Kalzay What else do you expect from Hans Zimmer!

  • Doesn't the soundtrack sound very much like the Matrix? Don't you think? =)

  • Oh. My. Go. I LOVE THIS MOVIE

  • "Paprika" does it just a tad better

  • Scratch that. Clicking on the suggested links certainly helps before I ask questions.

  • How did they film this? It doesn't look like CGI (and if it is, kudos), so how did they do it? It may sound stupid, but did they literally flip the room?

  • @GoldenFlither15 Actually, they really did rotate the whole stage. Very similar to what Kubrick did in 2001. Look up the Inception episode of the VFX show and they explain in detail.

  • @GoldenFlither15 Yes, they literally flipped the room! There's a making of this particular scene somewhere here on Youtube, Just look up inception, zero gravity fight.

  • @GoldenFlither15 Yep. Lionel Ritchie had the same technique done for the video clip of his song "Dancing On The Ceiling" lol. It's pretty cool stuff hey.

  • Dan Dan Daaan, Dan Dan Daaan, Dan Dan Daaan, Dan Dan Daaan

    I love this music!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Johnny7Doe Yer a tool. :)

  • @Johnny7Doe yes did u call me? LOL =P

  • @Johnny7Doe /watch?v=ap_xYZLyCp0

  • Gosh that music is epic.

  • 10 people did NOT understand this movie.

  • I really hope this movie wins for Best Picture. There are several worthy contendors, but this one was gold. Christopher Nolan is genius.

  • @GoldenFlither15 I doubt this would win anything, Nolan's movies always get stubbed. This year it would probably be True Grit, Social Network or Black Swan.

  • @themightyjoseph I know it too well. It's a rotten shame, too. I did like 'The Social Network' a lot, but still. Ah well, it goes to show what's good isn't always what's popular.

And, of course, what's popular isn't always what's good.

  • I hope everyone has seen the scene of fred astaire doing this in the 40's. Not new, but still awesome.

  • idolooooooooooo

  • It is sad...but I've see it four times too and only once in IMAX so lucky you! Love this movie!!!

  • Question, is it bad that I've seen this film 4 times in theaters, and only one of those times it was at a standard screen format; the rest happened to be on IMAX?

  • i freaking love this movie :D

  • the other scene that was awesomely done was the van drop. they spent weeks just driving over the side of the bridge into the water till they got it right. with the actors inside!!!!!! thats dedication. ava-what?? this was the most well done movie ever an the special effects were beyond belief

  • This scene is what convinced me that Chris Nolan needs to direct the Ender's Game movie. I could never really wrap my mind around the "zero gravity" training scenes in that book until I watched the hallway scene in 'Inception.' All of a sudden the physics of the whole thing made so much more sense.

  • @DuchessAliana lol chris nolan needs to direct EVERYTHING

  • Oh my gosh this is the BEST PART OF THE MOVIE!!! I remember when I saw this part in theaters it completely blew me away! I wanna see this movie again so badly >_<

  • i masturbate to this scene

  • Cant wait to watch this scene on blu-ray!

  • Oh and it's not even an American movie... Nolan is British!!

  • @alixcook2k7 Actually Nolan has dual citizenship and spent time in both America and Britain as a child so...

  • Inception wasn't a copy of any animes.. Do your research b4 slagging off this amazing film.. The whole thing is Chris Nolans idea an took 10 years to put into production! Get off the jap cock and grow up!!
