To mrphew, So do you mean we have no choice but to be DESTRUCTIVE? Maybe you don't have faith enough in the people of S'pore. We can discern enough who really are contructive to our future. If you want to take Power, you gotta be honest and patiently DO YOUR DEEDs & try to get elected. Singaporeans are not blind, unless u underestimate us. Also, how did u come to conclude that i am "Silenced"? Do you know me? How much i advocate in the political scence?
What does and does not work is very subjective. You may associate "success" with a car, 5-room HDB flat, and an annual visit to Disneyland, but many of us are sick of being sheep rather than humans. Remember: more than half of our youths want to leave Singapore, and 37% isn't patriotic. Your claims are rendered baseless by simple statistics.
Where did u get this statistics? Who can verify or honour it to be true? Do u have no faith in your fellow S'poreans? How "Many" exactly are the "Many of you sick of being sheeps"? S'pore is a small land. If some wonder-lust kicks in, it'll show we're normal & do dream of exploring this world. This is very acceptable. But if S'pore is as big as the USA, do u think we'll want to live in other countries? We'll only wanna move across states then. Coz we're a fair and peaceful and efficient nation.
Where do i get my statistics? Don't you watch/read channelnewsasia?! It may serve you better to understand reality abit first. "Exploring this world" is very different from "not being patriotic".
You may think you're not "silenced", and you may be right. But if you truly wish to speak out, what channels are there available to you? The truth is: not many. Singaporeans rely on blogspot and youtube to make themselves heard. That's saying alot.
Look around our neighbours. Then look further. Even to Thailand. Even to China. Or even to Europe or the Americas. Don't most activist now make use of the NET to voice out? And you're complaining using the net to voice out is good enough? So you wanna try surpass other countries? Use telepathy to broadcast your views?
Wrong: most activists use the "NET" as *one of the ways* to voice out. The important issue to think about here is that we do not have the right to assembly. And please refrain from sarcasm. It is, afterall, the lowest form of wit. In any case, i shall stop having this pointless banter with you, as it's insulting to this video. I shall leave with a quote from a famous site: "The sin is not in being ignorant, but in choosing to remain so."
If you wanna shout on the streets, think twice. those supposed-"Democratic" countries are Huge titanics compares to "sampan" Singapore. You can jump up and down and throw yourself all about on the titanic and nothing will happen. Try doing it on our precious sampan and it will sink.
Hi AdaStyle, do you think if one things work for someone, it must definitely work as well for everyone? Different circumstances calls for different approach. Do you think Gandi's "Method" would work if it's population were to be shrinken to be the same as Singapore and had a PAP-Styled government back then? Anyhow, their situation back in India was different, the ruling power was overwhemlmingly unpopular. You can't topple PAP with the same method as they are more popular here.
Your team have much fervor, but clearly you must learn how to punch shots at the right spots instead of directing them constantly into the air. If You lads really want a better life for Singaporeans, you better come up with something constructive and convincing to prove how you're gonna make Singpaore a better place, instead of focusing too much of your time to poke at the present Government. I'm not a pro-PAP, but i do believe in what WORKS, and what NOT.
I don't not believe that Singaporeans will have a better life after your 'walk' is done. What purpose does it serve? If workers in Singapore really feels that their life is made tough by the current government, won't they already know? Would they need your pointless reminder?
You are right, many Singaporeans are not looking for a reminder, neither do they need one. What they need, and what many are looking for, is the motivation to take action. That is what Dr and Ms Chee are trying to achieve.
And did they achieve it? What we Singaporeans need, is motivation to maintain our precious hard working attitude during 1st of May. We DON'T need motivations to complain or protest pointlessly.
Singaporeans will maintain their "precious hardworking attitude" whether or not they're motivated. They simply do not have the choice. You should wake up and embrace the truth, instead of instilling propaganda in yourself.
Precious hardworking attitude, should be adopted by all Singaporeans, whether they are motivated, or influenced by PAP, or whatever. Because being hardworking is not a choice, it is a must. If don't work hard, you think anyone can achieve anything? I doubt so.

Hi Aduka. I really appreciate your views. I assume you would have said the same thing to Mahatma Gandhi had he lived in this present age.
