Our military song was wayyyyy different... We had a bunch of army kids who came in with the general at first, and the general didn't have a fake accent, and The background music was different, and the lyrics were even different....

@dogirl321 Yeah, our's was different as well, we had an extra verse, and all my cadets had fake wooden guns, and I made him more comical. Super serious didn't suit me in my interpretation.

Was this the female version or male? I ask because the arrangements for the music seem to be the female version, but the cast seems pretty accurate for gender.

Ummm, I wasn't aware that there was a male and female version... I would say it's the female version, because most of our performers are girls, I was 1 out of the 7 guys. But I'm not entirely sure...

@Ryxachaz2613 There are separate male/female versions of the show in case the Cat in the Hat is female. It's the exact same except that the Cat's songs are in different keys to accommodate a female voice.

Both are really great parts! But, in terms of which is bigger, I would say they are about the same. Both hav roughly the same amount of stage time, and thy each re key chaacters to the plot. I also thought about going for the cat because you get to be all fun, crazy, and out there! Wheras Jojo is a much almer, slightly more serous, but still fun role. Whichever part you feel best-equipped for, I say go for it! :)

My school is doing this show next year. I love to be prepared for an audition so I'm learning the show ahead of time. I'm thinking about auditioning for Horton, or maybe Cat In The Hat, or JoJo, or Gertrude, or Mazie! I don't know...but I think I really have my heart set on Cat In The Hat =) I'm not sure, though...yall did a great job though! =)

We're doing the Jr. version of this show, but because our group is made of of mostly middle schoolers and elementry schoolers, there's only one boy who's old enough to play more than a chorus part. (He's playing the Mayor) The rest of the main characters are being played by girls. (But they're all really good.)

HAHAHA... General Ghengis Con Schmits.. totally made me laugh. He's hysterical! And alone in the universe was really beautifully done.. there's something about amature singers, when they make you nervous because you're worried they'll screw up or miss a pitch or something.. you're very comfortable to watch - leaves room to ejoy the show! Oh, and Jojo's really great, I love that she doesn't overdo it. Gertrude's great - she really gets what the part should be :) I'm really enjoying the show! :D
