First off, it's saturated to hell with a harmonizer, so this "aliencore" sound they're trying to pioneer, is much more easily established with a dissonant interval in his settings. Second, this is single-string tapping while quickly crossing all strings, and no musical modulation in the arpeggios performed, gives it this unorthodox sound.

Live, this kid just stood there playing these licks with zero stage presence.

I enjoy Rings of Saturn's music on occasion, but this is not incredibly difficult to play. Simple sweep pattens and tapping accompanied by a harmonizer. Sounds pretty cool, but instead of "I betcha can't play this" this lick is more of a "I betcha can play this if you cough up the money for a harmonizer"
