  • Thanks for the correction. How do I discern the difference? Does the Presidential motorcade have ambulances or something like that?

  • Having been a law enforcement officer in DC for 15 years, here's my two cents: The President's motorcade would normally have two ambulances. There's always an ambulance from the local city, but the secret service has an unmarked one as well. At times, however, the President does travel with fewer vehicles. In addition, there's always a video van to record motorcade movement. The motorcade in this video could also be a head of state.
