i am inclined to agree with leanio. the reason michael manrig works at all for this style is that he is so lyrical and interesting. all the same the compositions suffer when you have to just find some repetitive groove to noodle around and in. it lacks the kind of creative depth you really look for in dan ross. fun to listen to at first, but it overeaches. i still love them both!

I kind of agree with synap, with the bass it makes the song soundy kinda funky like it took that song from acoustic to like Jazz/funk.
