I chose Tech because I love the people there, the setting is good for me religion wise, and Tech is good about helping kids who don't have a ton of money out with scholarships and finacial aide. tech is a non bcs school stuck in a bcs conference. it takes them a few years to build up a program and then its gone when the top performers graduate. thats why Leech is looking for a new job. next season will not be like this one for tech. expect MUCH less. maybe again in a few years. for now its back to academics... oh wait, never mind its tech... for now its back to sitting around with thumb up your ass.
ps: dont feel so special over there in college station. don't forget that anyone with a 2.5 at blinn can go to a&m. so you might as well consider them in your academic ranking as well and holy hell, there it goes!
before you open your dumb ass mouth know what your talking about. those students have to be accepted into the blinn team program by a review board... its not for everyone. and they cant be a full time a&m student until they complete 60 hours with a 3.0 at blinn & at a&m... it cant be an average, it has to be a 3.0 at each school.

Its funny you go back up to the end of WW2... considering A&M beat tech 6 times in a row from their first meeting in '27 till '45 (game wasnt played annually). A&M leads the overall series, Tech NEVER won an outright SWC championship (A&M had 15), Tech hasnt won a B12 division title outright (A&M has 2), Tech has never even been in the B12 CCG much less won a conference title (A&M won '98).

I really love watching this video. aTm is a very solid academic school, there is no doubt. That being said, I would be thoroughly embarassed to say i went to school there. Tech has beat aTm like a drum in for the last decade in nearly every sport. TTU fans don't claim their school is an academic power, but they definitely have a point when they talk about how they own aTm.
Well some of us didn't choose our school based on their football team's winning record. Those are very expensive season tickets you have there if that is the route you took. TTU is avg academically. TAMU is better, but well behind UT, which is behind Rice. In basketball, TTU has been better, much better, over the 40 years of competition. In football, it is even, w/ TAMU winning in the early years and TTU ever since. Even the noted cheater, Jackie Sherrill, had a losing record against only one team, TTU. Yes, Bobby Knight has paid off. Lots of publicity. Some decent recruits. And NC2A tourney visit every 2nd year or so and one trip to the S16.

Its funny you go back up to the end of WW2... considering A&M beat tech 6 times in a row from their first meeting in '27 till '45 (game wasnt played annually). A&M leads the overall series, Tech NEVER won an outright SWC championship (A&M had 15), Tech hasnt won a B12 division title outright (A&M has 2), Tech has never even been in the B12 CCG much less won a conference title (A&M won '98).

According to the chart, 94% of Texas A&M's football players from 2004 through 2005 were admitted as "special admits". Other offenders were Iowa State with 21% from 2000 through 2001 and Oklahoma with 81% from 2002 through 2003.
Meanwhile, there were five Big 12 teams (Nebraska, Texas Tech, Texas, Colorado, and Kansas State) did not have ANY special admits.

I really love watching this video. aTm is a very solid academic school, there is no doubt. That being said, I would be thoroughly embarassed to say i went to school there. Tech has beat aTm like a drum in for the last decade in nearly every sport. TTU fans don't claim their school is an academic power, but they definitely have a point when they talk about how they own aTm.

Those are tech fans. Texas Tech is in northern west Texas near Oklahoma which is mostly white.
There is plenty of ethnic diversity in Texas. I'm from San Antonio which is over 60% Hispanic (with a area population of 1.5 million). Also, east Texas and Houston have a large population of African Americans.

TTU is avg academically. TAMU is better, but well behind UT, which is behind Rice. In basketball, TTU has been better, much better, over the 40 years of competition. In football, it is even, w/ TAMU winning in the early years and TTU ever since. Even the noted cheater, Jackie Sherrill, had a losing record against only one team, TTU. Yes, Bobby Knight has paid off. Lots of publicity. Some decent recruits. And NC2A tourney visit every 2nd year or so and one trip to the S16.

The Big-12 could swap A&M for TCU. Maybe the Mountain West Conference is more their speed.

yeah i agree with that TCU has got a really good football program going now maybe even put Oklahoma State in the big 12 north instead of the south

awesome, a&m won and lost all their games the same way last year, either they won by a score, or lost by a score, they easily could have been 3-7.

Raiders weren't lucky...it's called OFFENSE!!!Not many teams in this country have the firepower to pull off that kind of comeback. By the way, nobody from Tech chose to play the Gophers...we just beat whoever they invited us to play last December.
