I was trying to follow this tutorial but I couldn't. You weren't zoomed in enough for me to understand where you were clicking and you spoke too fast, along with your accent, it isn't easy for us Americans to tell what you're saying.
hey this is great, thank you----I was having trouble extruding, when I drag, the faces grow separately making a tire-track look instead of a blended surface. Do you know why this might be happening for me?
@rhettlarue If i understood correctlu then u r talking abt this " while extruding more than 1 faces all the face go randomly instead of as we r willing to do it " then d solution is go to edit mesh-click keep faces together. let me know if i understood u corectly
You have got "keep faces togethere" unchecked in the attribute editor. Double click on extrude. But I'm preaty shure that You have worked it all out already.
nice to see a fellow aussie working maya. what uni are you at? or are you now working? can i enquire what course you did? thinking about doing industrial design because of the 3d aspect.
Great tutorial!.. thanks.. it really helps a lot.. keep up the good work bro! :)

In 3ds Max, you just make your splines renderable, adjust your thickness or apply a shell modifier and you're good to go!

it makes some sort of plate, not a tube here, wierd .. :)

@panadesu sounds like you are hitting revolve instead of extrude. either that or your extrude settings are set up in a funny way.

@HarryCaray3000 oh this is kinda embarrasing xD Thanks.

When I select my circle and curve and hit extrude, I get a tornado/funnel, not what you get.

For some reason when I loft the 2 isoparms it doesn't come out as a perfect pipe between the two...
clebo99 3 years ago
Try clearing the history and then try the loft.
