  • hahaha the RIGHT way to play duck hunt :P

  • Greg Jasperse is amazing. I just worked with him this week on his new voicedance at Showchoir Camps of America in Ohio.

  • great job. i want to record something like this :D coming from a soprano 1

  • I sang this in a choir of over 100 people once, but I think it sounds just as good when one person sings it! ;) -Katie

  • Brodie looks sooooo young. How long ago are those clips from?

  • This is really rad, my high school choir is doing this for festival in Banff and we're not nearly this good yet. Props!

  • that is so cool your singing all the parts great job from a 1st soprano lol

  • @danicjohnson Look at my other stuff... this recording is AWFUL in comparison :)

  • @daniscool99 nooooooo....... this is greattttttttttttt :D

  • Being a tenor 1 i say that this is pretty impressive to hit those high b flats. You are a stud

  • I fail to hear the super low E flat. I understand you range is probably set for higher ranges but if anything that is the basic built of the chords.

  • Oh My Word. That is absolutely amazing. I was wondering what would happen with those high b-flats, but they sounded fantastic. nice work!

  • Best recording I've heard so far on YouTube!

  • I didnt know you did this aswell. Im finding out more and more videos! :O

  • I'm working from home today and, as usual, playing my Danny Channel. And, as usual, you lift my spirits. Thank you for sharing your music and your spirit.

  • Wow. This is amazing. I am in awe!!!!! I love your rendition! So impressive!

  • :) my chamber choir group is doing this song and I think this was my favorite recording!

  • my schools chorus and i preformed this last December for a winter chorus concert. ah...its one of my favorites. we are a all girls chorus ^__^

  • lol diva dude! I heard this in my chior class it was hilarious! I love this song,. I can't wait to perform it . :))

  • This is beautiful! I applaud you for sticking it out to the end. I've tried mutlitracking before and always given up before thirty seconds. :)

We're learning this song right now and I've never heard the entire thing before your recording. We're up to measure 33. I'm completely in love with it now. Do you think you could post the separate parts? Or at least the alto part.

  • This is my favorite of the Voice Dance series, and when I heard it start I immediately thought of those Soprano I notes toward the end...That was incredible man, keep up the good work, you've definitely got a subscriber here.

    -Alex

  • Youre really talented dude really good work

  • omg our advanced womens choir is doing this song for our spring concert cuz we r so not ready for it on the winter concert!!! lmafo :D <3 this song btw!!!

  • Wonderful! Absolutely love it. Just bought the score for my choir. Will we ever be as good as that ...? Thanks!

  • awesome. great range.

  • ARE YOU SERIOUS!?!?!?! then forget that last comment YOU ROCK!!!!! my choir directed would love you beyond belief... and sorry i was looking around youtube bc i was supposed to be studying the song i just listened and didnt even think about it cuz it was that amazing.

  • my mixed ensamble are trying soo har4d to get this song down we have only met 3 times and are trying to have it ready by wednesday..... we r more than likely waiting for winter concert but im just got to say ya'll ROCK!!!!! im not hitting my nots correctly and im a second saprano you guys are amazing....

  • "guys" haha, I'm singing all the parts. But thanks XD

  • Awesome job! Some of the soprano parts are a tad harsh, but I know I could never do this as well as you did, so take that with a grain of salt. Great performance of an amazing song!

  • our group did it two years ago, we came first in a huge festival w/ about 16 groups

  • terrific.. my school choir is doing it and there is only 2 guys in our class but well done.. ; )..

  • Very cool. Well done! =)

  • its beautiful. My school choris (that im in) is singing it so im looking it up (btw we r a all girls choris)

funny thing is that no one has the lyrics or the song in original form. if anyone can help leave me a comment.

but this is the one version iv herd that dosen't sound like yelling, ya did it the best!

  • you should do Voice dance 3!

  • i love this song :3

  • Why are the soporanos so unrelentingly stacatto at some points at the chorus? It makes the sound very jagged instead of that flowing feeling the song should have. After all, it's a dance, not a stomp.

  • Probably because this is my first multitrack ever, also I'm not a soprano. I'm a tenor. Soprano isn't exactly my forte.

  • Ahh ok, no worries. I'm a tenor myself, I know how tough singing some of the Soprano parts can be. I was really just curious, you did a good job. Any plans to do any more Voicedance tracks?

  • Not really. I'm more into the barbershop multitracking now I guess. The parts actually are all male ranges and turn out quite a bit nicer. I never was too fond of voicedance II or III ( or IV or V now?). I did meet Greg Jasperse last year though, he was a clinician and I was part of his feature choir to demonstrate things to the audience.. pretty fun!

  • Yeah, when I was in jazz choir my conductor was a personal friend of Greg (they were roomates in college). He is supposed to be a really cool guy. His father-in-law is also big in the music world (Kirby Shaw) and our group got to do a private workshop with him, it was awesome. I know what you are saying about the later Voicedance's though. They just don't have the same feel. I've only performed I and III though.

  • Depends. First or second tenor?

  • the first forks and toothpicks trick was so creepy....

    dramatic....!

  • this is pretty damn good... only disappointment is that the bass parts are raised... but hey i understand why you did lol ^^

(i'm just a bass so i love them low notes)

  • LOL Duck hunt :D

  • we're doing voicedance 5 in our select ensemble- I bet you could sing the crap out of it, you're really good.

  • this is really awesome. we're doing this in chorus right now and hopefully ours will sound as good as yours. amazing job with those high notes man.

  • Oh, and, just wondering but did you transpose this into your own key? Or is that actually the Bb on the top line? :D

  • I didn't transposes it.. That's actually a Bb on the soprano at the end :D

  • ohhmigoodness. [: this is the best rendition of Voice Dance I've heard yet! We're doing it with an incompetant choir at my school, so I hope you don't mind if I share this with them so they have something to learn from! [: Excellent work!<33

  • ahh I remember when a young guy tagged this as a multitrack, and a few youtube barbershoppers were like "woah.. who is this obscure singer who sings in jibberish?! he will take the internet by storm just as soon as he learns english"

Look at that, the song's over and I forgot to listen. I'll just have to play it 5 or 8 more times. As everyone else Should be doing.

  • sorry, in all good intentions, I did have to chuckle at the word "jibberish"

the words/syllables he's singing are called "vocalise" but anywhoo. I listen to this and it cheers me up

  • thanks for the correction, I'll be sure to write it in giant letters on my forehead :P "Jibberish is not correct"

  • lol over done ...

:P but i like it still... this song is just that amazing haha

  • So, umm....you're amazing.

  • Wow, you know, I've heard this performed by full choirs and to be honest I really prefer the sound of the male falsetto in this song. It just sounds so much more... passionate.

  • thank you! that's very flattering to hear :)

  • thats so cool! i wish you could sing that at my wedding :)

  • I'll be there.

  • w00t! But you have to wait another 3-5 years xD

    im only 15.

    hahahahahaa.

and you should check my new youtube video :)

i think you would like it

  • very nice!

  • i like the bow at the end cause it feels like you're bowing for this song! lol! Those short high notes at the end were IMPRESSIVE! U have talent my friend! real talent! Wow...as others said it was real refreshing! Keep it up man! Keep it up!

  • do you have the sheet for this ???

  • this is amazing

  • almost up there with nick pitera haha! good job!

  • question for you...do you know what group is singing the track in your video?? it sounds like all guys...

  • lol, the video clips are really irellavent, this video was basically just to advertise the song being played. I am singing all of the parts on 16 different tracks all played simultaneously including the Alto 1+2 and Soprano 1+2 in falsetto of course.

  • wow, im a chick and i have trouble with those soprano notes. way to be beast.

and 4-5 hours??? ive had the piece for three months and i have trouble with my part!

  • haha well.. i'm a dude! And don't worry I also have trouble with those soprano notes. Believe me I didn't get those high notes in one try. I have a hard time tuning notes that high in my falsetto lol. Well I am a music major at school and I've been playing piano for quite a while.. so I have an ear for the harmonies and I can usually sight read most lines pretty quickly. Comes in handy when you don't want to memorize 8 different lines!

  • haha...i actually sang bari on this a while back

  • My darling I love this song. I'm currently workind on it in jazz choir and I'm singing first alto. Why did you choose not to sing the pickups after 'zing oh ah dah' part? Listening to this, I can finally hear all the parts and where the melody is. THANK YOU!

  • To be honest, I likely just read the music wrong, I sightread all of the parts and did the entire recording all parts start to finish in maybe 4-5 hours. I would've liked to go back and fix things up but my hard drive crashed and I'm left with this now :P. I'm glad you like it though.

  • i can only sing alto and med. tenor u are cool i have a sweet voice that sounds kinda like yours but im not as versatile as u u rock man

  • Great job- Very refreshing to hear & lots of fun!

  • Wow, great voice man! I don't know you miltitrackers manage to be so versatile! damn, I can sing tenor 2 and baritone and NOTHING else! :P

  • That was great! Nice job. Am I wrong, or did you write this? If you did, it was awesome. If not, well, you sang it well ;)

  • This song was written by Greg Jasperse. My school's acapella choir sang it my freshman year. I love this song!

  • Thank you! I did not write this, but thank you for the comments :)

  • Well deserved comments my friend. If you ever need another voice, let me know. I just ordered my new recording hardware so soon I'll be able to post some quality recordings - hopefully at least one will come out as nice as this one.

  • Wow man. This stuff is really impressive...beautiful song too.

  • the only time i have ever heard this sang better is when my choir sang it..... but you guys are pretty amazing too!!! i love it!

  • you guys.. lol. I'm singing all the parts myself though. Thanks for the compliments though. :)

  • I. Must. Have. More. Great work!

  • this rocks =)

  • That was really fantastic, really really nice

  • There is no digital shifting in register, only minor pitch correction and reverb. It took me a few tries to get the notes out :D.

  • Dude...this is amazing! Very very nice. Thanks for sharing your talents!!

  • v nice dan. why isnt this on facebook yet

  • Amazing arrangement and singing. Are some of those parts shifted up the octave digitally or are you actually singing that high? Either way great job!

  • i love your high register!!

    great song:)

  • noooo!!!! you cannot post this, you'll put me outta business!!! =)

  • Put you out of business, Finey? Not quite, but we ARE wondering right about now why you can't do a full song with video. It doesn't HAVE to be a four- (or eight-) way split video of you singing the actual parts. ;-)

Oh, and to both Finey and DanIsCool: get BHSnerd to tell you how to get STEREO to be preserved here on YouTube!

Or ask LovelyVirus of "Virtual Barbershop" (the OTHER kind of Barbershop) fame.

  • There are plenty of youtube videos specifically explaining how to make stereo tags... Although I'm not sure I want to! Having the full length tag in a link in the info gives full quality on both video and audio, and that feels much better...

  • I have only rarely been able to get your links to work. Do you remove them after awhile?

Also, your links are HUGE. They seem to be .AVI files with blank video tracks. WHY!? If you just want uncompressed audio, use .WAV files. Or, better yet, use Windows Media Audio or Ogg with a lossless codec (WMA Lossless or FLAC, respectively). That gives you at least some savings, at zero loss of quality.

  • That means you don't have the right video codecs. I recommend that you download and install K-Lite Mega Codec Pack (Configuration: "Lots of stuff"), that should make you able to view any of my videos. Just google K-Lite Mega Codec Pack and you'll get a hit...

The AVI files in the zip files are about 9 MB which is kinda small... I'll think about making stereo though =)

  • Ah. I meant that they were huge for AUDIO. If there really is video, then no, they're not all that huge for that.

If you're using non-standard codecs, then you really should indicate that on your website download page (and HAVE such a page, rather than just giving raw links here), if not in the About This Video description. The average person wouldn't know to do that.

  • Good job, lovely! :) You have a beautiful voice! Ps. The duckhunt part rules! =)

  • Very well done! I like this alot.
