  • @pkstarstorm1up No, it was shit. It's better than Shadow and Black Knight, but that means nothing, it's still very rushed and Sega didn't care for the game to be good to begin with.

  • @Rhynoceronte No it wasn't. It is a good underrated video game. Sonic Team aren't the ones responsible for the game's condition. Microsoft forced them to rush the game and release it in 2006 rather than it's original release date of Holiday 2007.

  • @pkstarstorm1up It still doesn't mean nothing. The level design is awful, too many loading times (even for the stupidest things), controls blew even more than the average 3D Sonic game and overall it wasn't an enjoyable experience.

    And even if it was finished I don't know if the game would be good. There's too much emphasis on story, Shadow's gameplay sucks ass and multi-hit enemies are still there.

  • @Rhynoceronte Yes it does. The level design is not awful. It is some of the best in the series. It just didn't have the time to be fully utilised. The control were spot on, much better then the controls of Heroes, Shadow, Secret Rings, Unleashed, Black Knight, and Colors. and there was a great amount of wonderful 3D platforming which is more important than speed as Sonic is a platformer not a racer.

    Yes it would have. The storyline is wonderful best in the series.

  • @Rhynoceronte All of the games should have a big emphasis on story because story is the second most important thing for a video game, Shadow's gameplay was better than in Adventure 2 because he isn't a clone of another character anymore, and the multi hit enemies are a great idea. You would expect larger and more powerful enemies to have more HP. This game is the Sonic Adventure 3 that we never got, in fact it's more like a Sonic Adventure game then Sonic Adventure 2 is.

    Different =/= better. Being a Sonic clone Shadow could at least be bearable and have okay level design (granted SA2 was linear as fuck but still enjoyable)

    No, enemies that have more HP make the game slow and they ruin the overall flow of the game. Do I even need to mention what a pain in the ass it is that every time in 06 you have to stop and press A/X like a retard?

    No they don't. They make the game more enjoyable and test how quickly you can destroy them. It's not a pain at all. If you think it's a pain well that's stupid.

  • @pkstarstorm1up No it's not, if I have a great game in my hands even if there's not a story doesn't mean it sucks (Rayman 1-Origins, all the Mario games... even Sonic games really). And what's worth playing different characters if they all suck? To me it's better one gameplay but that at least is good.

    What do the multi-hit enemies test exactly? How fast can I press one button? How fast can i use the bounce attack? It's a pain because it's so boring.

  • Yes it is. Even if the game doesn't suck without a story that doesn't mean that it wouldn't be much better with a story. Without a story there isn't much incentive or motivation for the player to see the game all the way through because there isn't anything going on in the world the game takes place in, therefore there aren't any consequences or events that happen because of your actions. Games now a days need to have a good storyline or else they fall short of greatness.

  • @Rhynoceronte None of the characters suck except for Knuckles and by some extent Omega. Everyone else (yes even Amy) are very fun to play as and add alot of variety to the game once you learn how to play as them.

    It's much more interesting then just bouncing on one enemy and them being destroyed no matter how tough they are meant to be.

    None of the controls in 06 suck except for the boarding sections, and the jumping is much better then it is in Unleashed and Generations because

  • @pkstarstorm1up Omega is pretty fine, Knuckles, Tails, Amy and Silver suck though... Shadow controls kinda okay, but his levels sucks too, Rouge is boring and Sonic and Blaze are okay. I repeat, I'd rather play as just Sonic than have a genre roulette of things that I don't wanna do and with no connection with Sonic gameplay.

    No, is much more interesting having enemies that haven't any HP but are harder to destroy, what about that? Enemies with HP aren't hard, just a waste of time.

  • Omega is broken beyond belief,Knuckles is better then in Adventure 2 and Heroes but worse then in Adventure,Tails is better then he was in both Adventure games and Heroes,Amy is better then in Heroes but not as good as in Adventure,Silver is the best, Rouge is better then in both Adventure 2 and in Heroes (despite the wall glitch, because that glitch hardly ever happens and when it does it is really easy to get unstuck), Sonic is great despite his slower speed and Blaze is awesome.

  • None of the enemies in any games after 06 have been hard to hurt at all. 06 only controls bad when you try to turn during the fully scripted loops, every other time it works just fine,The Homing Attack is the most efficient way to destroy enemies though and it works better then it did in the games before then. The Spin Jump puts you in more danger then the Homing Attack so I didn't care that you couldn't use it.

    At least in 06 you have some physics when you jump unlike Unleashed.

  • @Rhynoceronte Sonic actually jumps pretty high allowing for more forgiveness if you jump a bit sooner then you should have. The Homing Attack is a very good attack that is much better then the Spin Jump. Plus there aren't that many enemies that you need to use the Homing Attack on.

  • @pkstarstorm1up 06 controls are pretty bad for turning and for moving at high speeds in general.

    The homing attack is fun in 3D Sonic, don't get me wrong, just not in 06. There aren't many enemies you need to use the HA on except everyone. And I hated the fact that you couldn't do any damage to nothing with just your jump, that's so stupid!

    Yeah, Unleashed jump was reeeeeeeeally bad, but Generations wasn't so horrible to me. In 06 when you fall you have no control, it's better to stay still

  • @pkstarstorm1up And plus, yes 06 is much more similar to SA1 than SA2... which is a very good thing (even though SA1 and SA2 are so different from each other that they could be from two different brands). But this STILL doesn't mean nothing. If it's similar to Sonic Adventure isn't automatic that the game will be good, if anything I would think that the game will be very awkward to control for starters. Games like Heroes and Colours are a great improvement over SA2, or 06, or Shadow or Unleashed

  • @Rhynoceronte Yes it does, it makes the game much more enjoyable. Also the controls are much better in 06 then those other games.

  • @pkstarstorm1up In 06 the control is jerky expecially for turning and they all jump like they're on the moon, and with the jump itself it's impossible to do precise platforming, let alone do platforming in general. Infact that's the reason they put there all those enemies to homing attack, because they knew the jump blew and so they preferred to let you not-play-the game.

  • @Rhynoceronte Besides that, playing as only Sonic is really boring. Sure he's very fun to play as but I want to play as several other characters who are each different. Sonic Team had better start making games styled like Sonic Adventure.
