A few years ago there was clearly a shift in creative guard, and, to me, it stopped being smart.The jokes became heavyhanded, overexplaining themselves in headlines that no longer read with the elegance of a real newspaper. And they also seemed to lost any sense of compassion or thoughtfulness about who they targeted. At least one article just basically ridiculed fat people. I can get that on the man show. Or anywhere.
