The historical and cultural connection is needed to understand this, so I can understand it is difficult to see the "big picture". The song have little to do with "being a badass motherfucker". A violent nature shape the people living there, and influence history both past and present. Norwegian metal in different forms is a cultural expression, somewhat different from the rest.
