  • @ghrle09 not really, if you can take off( bird strike or else) you can be in trouble at ANY airport; also AA operates the 757 in hot and high airports -which UIO is- In the old day Quito had 747 passenger service (LH and AF); Iberia operates A340's and KLM MD11, also there's plenty 747 cargo services; LAN Cargo has B777 daily too.
