Love this video. I pull out all my eyelashes and eyebrows=/ ive never pulled my scalp hair but ugh my eyebrows are so hidious. You mentioned you got treatment for this? What kind? ive never told anybody i have this disorder. Only my husband knows.
@FRANKaguilera22 The treatment i recieved was i found a phys. and a therapist. tricho is triggered by aniexty stress and/or depression to overcome trich you need help diggin down in yourself to see why you do it in the first place. once i found out why they can perscribe a medication for nerves or ocd like i got. but you dont need them for long because you learn coping skills other then pulling. i was put in a hosptital only because i was so severe & gave me an escape for awhile to learn.
ive always wore eyelinear no matter what even when i pulled my eyelashes out every month and always thought ppl saw and had thoughts of it but ta my surprise no one noticed and i find it strange and displeasing for some reason but when ever i have a nerve-ticking pull out incident i always feel slightly better if i already see some bby lashes coming in and say "give it 2 weeks, youll look better than before" then i feel awesome w/ my lashes then oopsie dasie. deja vu all over again
yes the eyeliner works!! your so pretty im jealous (btw all the peeps on youtube who have this they R ALL SO PRETTY NO MATTER!! IF THEY HAVE HAIR OR NOT!!!
You are so beautiful and strong and I love your attitude and how you keep smiling regardless of how hard what you're going through is. You're an inspiration <3
@TheDogGidget well if you have not seen any of my other videos i also have something called dermatillomania which is in many cases connected with trich. derma is compulsive skin picking. for example is i get a bug bit i out of a horrible habbit pick at it compulsivly leading to large wonds. thanks for asking
Oh my God, I don't know if I really have but since 3rd grade to 5th I pulled my eyelashes and brows. Stopped during the 5th grade summer and I started again with my eyelashes but I'm really trying to stop but I would never be able to pull my head hair. I'm to in love with my hair. If it was gone, I don't know what I'd do. I was only made fun of in 4th grade but not too bad. I try not to cry often. I try to not be affected. I don't want sympathy. I want confidence.
sorry but i feel sick to mu stomache when i see what you've done.. I'm in pain..and really i don't lie.. I feel physically sick... that must hurt sooo much!!!
@SunGodization you probably could've kept that to yourself. All you're doing is making us feel guilty, the way you say "i feel sick to my stomach when i see what you've done" Maybe you were trying to sound sympathetic....i don't know. But that was very condescending.
Would anyone want to be called a Trichotillomaniac? Well, you don't deserve it and nobody does. To stop, you have to believe in one tiny thing. One thing - that stopping this habit for one hour is just as important as stopping your whole life. Hold my hand, please hold my hand. You grab a paper, draw a grid on it, 30 by 20, that's 600 squares. And for each hour that goes by without pulling you draw a smiley face. You do this sweetie. Thank you
and GAVA VOOM! (I totally made up that word... so now its your word!)
I am about to send this to all of my trich friends because you are so impowering! You are amazing!
I hope that you have heard about the Trichotillomania Learning Center and the Annual Retreat it holds in the US. I went and it changed my life! I'm 16 and I have had trich since the 3rd grade. You are so inspiring! Think about the retreat because it seems perfect for you!!!
MTV is casting right now for people who have trichotillomania or other unusual habits. Please check out the casting call on our youtube page if you'd be interested in applying. Thanks!

i had trich before and suffered heavily during my teenage years. it went away through time. it comes once in a blue moon, ONLY when I get stressed out. Can you believe that guys go through it too? You are strong don't give up and keep making these type of videos. You have no idea how much of an impact you are making. greetings from Hollywood FL
im so happy to hear your recovering and your so confient in yourself to be better. But sweety you only suffer form it it is you allow it to control who you are.. but you have my support and i hope your able to stop and stay off pulling. love, yany
I am so inspired by your video. You seem like a really great person. I, myself, suffer from this. It's one of my best kept secrets...:/ I recently stopped pulling 6 days ago, and don't intend to start again.
i started treatment by seeing therapist and psychologists but became frustrated because it wasnt something they knew much about and as much as they would try to help things kept happening so i went to a behavioral center for physiological conditions and i had to spend a few weeks in there facility but with day and night watch they were keeping me conscious of my hair pulling and skin rubbing.
Hi Beautiful.....I went to a Chruch concert on Thursday night and Mandisa was there and she sang..."Stronger" I had tears in my eyes thinking of you the whole time. I was sitting 5 rows away from her. She has had her share of struggles too. Never forget how much you are loved ......Love you always, Ava xo
I just heard a song on the radio...it made me think of you...please look it up and listen to the words....she singing just for you. A song called "Stronger" by Mandisa Love, Ava xoxoxoxo
Baby Girl...watching this video makes me cry....I am so sorry that you have so much to deal with at your age. I hope you know that you are always in my heart and prayers. You are a very strong person. I KNOW that you can beat this...like you said ...you have trichotillomania but it does not have you. Pray my beautiful girl....There is nothing that you can't get through with Jesus by your side....I love you sweetheart....always, Ava xo
i pull out my hair underneath my thicker hair. i don't pull it out at bad as i know some do, so these videos are very inspiring:3
