  • okay folks... have to say it! There are two types of People in this world... those who love Neil and those who hate him. I'm a Neil Lover! And Yes, I'm only 29. Goodbye!

  • @JacksonEightyDuece U need to grow-up yrself...& get yr head outa the gutter....or yr ass.

  • @jnfan2011 He makes a rather explicit song for kids, and y'all give ME shit??? Really? My head isn't in the gutter. My head is in interpreting (what I thought was great) music for it's true meaning.

  • @JacksonEightyDuece You're an idiot

  • @FrancescaGianna Be that as it may... This is still a creepy song.

  • he's better than elvis presley!!!!!

  • i saw him last week in rotterdam and man he is still good

  • I fuckin love this, i've been singing it for like 3 days now, its so catchy to hit that G its the hook i swear...Neil's got some power behind that voice..

  • what a great song!!

but I think urge overkill did a more powerful version

  • @MannyBannany Im not sure how someone does a more powerful version when essentially its an imitation... most people arnt aware the Pulp Fiction version i

  • levicomtedeva1mont2 i may be 58 yrs old bird brain but i bet i look better than u ive told i look 30..i have young girls going after me u fag!!!!!!

  • Neil Diamond is the most understated genius of a generation. his works can be summed up in one word. Legend.

  • DAMN ...I WAS 14 YEARS OLD WHEN HE PERFORM THIS SONG....IM 58 NOW 1960S WAS THE BEST ERA FOR MUSIC.....

  • @09bnunez good night grandpa

  • @09bnunez We can tell your 58 because everything is in CAPITALS!!!

  • Viva Jersey!

  • Neil Diamond wrote and performed the best of his material in the 1960's as evidenced by this song, as well as, Shilo, I'll Come Running, Red, Red, Wine, I'm A Believer, etc. By the 1970's, unfortunately, it all became rather schmaltzy - I mean, "Forever In Blue Jeans - perhaps one of the worst lyrics ever. Very hip in the 60's, then Vegas schmaltz for the remainder of his career. Too bad he couldn't hold onto the inspiration which generated his early material.

  • Neil Diamond wrote great songs but his voice just doesnot have the range

  • @victoriawunderlich , what do you mean with his voice doesnot have the range? (my english is not sowell, i come from holland)!

  • Comment removed

  • He is! :)

  • thanx 4 the upload.

  • From Wikipedia: "On Monday, March 14, 2011, Neil Diamond was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame"

  • guy's looked the same all his life.

  • I recently listened to a bunch of these old songs on a CD I grabbed from the Library, and I have to say I have overlooked Neil Diamond until now. Solitary Man and this song are my two favourites.

  • The original "Rapper"

    Go Neil

  • Congratulations to Neil Diamond on his induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame !! Way To Go, Solitary Man !!

  • This song has such a beautiful instrumental arrangement, as well as some pretty hot lyrics! He would only have to ask me once ;~)

  • PULP FICTION'S AWFUL LOVING. THANK YOU MR QUENTIN!

  • 0:54

  • An amazing artist he is so talented and still entertains us with his music

  • Amo a Neil y su tema!!!

  • HE IS NOW

  • muito linda esta musica parabens neil DIAMOND

  • Sucked

  • Nice live vocal (to studio track). Neil did such great stuff in the 60s, this being one of his best ever.

Did I just read that Mr Diamond is NOT in the RNR Hall of Fame. How ridiculous, except they tend to put in blues musicians but avoid true rockers like Neil Diamond, Chubby Checker, Paul Revere and the Raiders, and Neil Sedaka. I don't get it. Makes no sense to me.

  • His voice cracks at the beginning. Hilarious.

  • this performance may be from 1967 but his hair is from 1957. C'mon, Neil, the wet head is dead.

  • @borddakter Actually, Neil has a hair style wide used from late 1965 through 1967 - take alook at other artists during that period. Although the hair is shiny, it's not a wet look like vintage '57 - the hair is combed back, but more domed and thicker. You really don't start seeing the "dry" look (aka Beatles) in the U.S. mainstream until well into 1968..

  • Another wonderful classic song. Too bad today's music can't compare! Thank you for the video!

  • love love love it !........(and the legend that is Neil Diamond !..)

  • I've loved this soon all my life!!!

  • Wow holy bajisers Batman I do agree. this is a miracle. This is better than The pulp fiction version. WOW WOW Neil. Good job.

  • Classic...will never ever get sick of this song!!!

  • Simply classic!

  • 0:16. "I'd die for YOU girl..."

  • This song is so romantic, youth is such a precious thing.

  • Harsh Pervery anthem...Lawd i love this song! lol Guess thats why Im 14 years older than my hottie wife!

  • I have this mixed tape that N.D. signed because I had this song on it...I gave this tape to my 10 year old daughter and told her she be a woman soon...I also gave her my moldy sweater that N.D. signed as well...This man lives deep inside of me every night...not gay right?

  • Holy Crap Robin!!!

  • holy crap batman - Neil is so good looking. Still to this day. I love him

  • My favorite Neil Diamond song and I love most of his!

  • I think I like this even more than the album version

  • I wonder how old he is in this video.

  • @FILMFREAK420

He was 26 years old here. He was born in 1941.

  • Singing along to the original studio tracks it seems.

  • matd1g...this is an very old and rare video, thank you very much for sharing it!

  • Neil Does rock do you know how many Bands have covered him ? FANTASTIC

    Saturday night fever

    Slumdog millionaire

    Just Great, simply impossible

  • @lieven2008 - .....and "Pulp Fiction", don't forget about "Pulp Fiction"

  • bellissima

  • Just used to brilliant effect in the awesome T.V show Misfits. Heart wrenchingly good stuff.

  • Why isn't Neil in the Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame? A disgrace.

  • @latour90

I thought he would be, especially for his songwriting skills.

  • @latour90 I would never think of Neil Diamond as a rocker. He writes and sings great ballads and folksy-type songs, but he doesn't rock 'n' roll. Love him though!

  • @latour90 thank god he isnt my parents love him and i cant stand

  • @latour90 He was nominated just a few weeks ago along with Bon Jovi, Alice Cooper and several others.

  • @1mealer Didn't hear this. I hope he, Bon Jovi AND Alice Cooper get in. Those 3 still perform LIVE, not like some of the performers now....

  • @latour90 You are so right! He is in the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

  • @latour90 -Yeah, why the heck not ?!!

  • @latour90 maybe cus hes jazz

  • @latour90 As of today, Neil IS in the Hall of Fame!

  • @latour90 Neil Diamond is now in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!!! 2011 Inductee

  • @latour90 well he is now, and it's about time.

  • @latour90 He is inducted now... Since march 14 2011

  • @latour90 Well it took a year after you placed this comment that the music industry or whoever nominates the inductees to finally fix the disgrace by finally in 2011 to put him in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; but unfortunately alot of other artists who also deserve to be in it are still being overlooked!!!!!!!

  • @latour90 who craes? ND's beyond that...

  • It's Great!!! One of my favorites!

  • Really good song, A classic

  • Ah a song from Pulp Fiction.

  • Nope, it's in Pulp Fiction, a song from Neil.

  • I know the song in pulp fiction was done by Urge Overkill or something like that but i like this the original better i was just acting foolish lol.

  • Oh 1more thing nice voice(nothing else matters).

  • Cheers! I'll let her know you said so! :-)

  • its soo fucking fucked up and funny when people go...ahhh that song from pulp fiction... but fact is kiddies,,,that song was a very famous, very popular song way the hell b4 pulp fiction. thats why he used it in the damn movie... yes, it was alive and well b4 he movie,,, but i must admit, the film gave it a shot in the arm, and i hope u kids learn how important neil diamond was in the music industry. i would say only elvis was bigger. i mean it, neil diamond was huge. and still is..thx god.

  • I loved Pulp Fiction!!! The soundtrack makes the movie, it sets the mood. Todays top 10 are most likely sampled from previous hits or covered by mainstreamed recording artists. I do like Urge Overkill's cover of this song.

  • Yeah yeah, who gives a shit, it's great music...(of course it's from one of the Greats)

  • Please why do you have to use bad languish on here..... children look at this site and they don't need to see those bad dirty words. Thanks

  • if u think what i wrote is bad..then u must be writing to people everyday, every hour, for the rest of life. but i do understand exactly what u mean... ur right. and the thing is...i knew neil's producer,,, an itialian,,,and i dated his only daughter,,, and he would have my head if he knew... i mean it.

  • Thanks I appreciate you follownn up with me Appreciate it very much & I might add that 1969was a great year too

    Sam

    Class of 69'

  • i was 18...grad from palisades high..

there will never be such a year...ever

    take care.

  • original

  • Neil wrote great songs in the 60s and up until Crackin' Rose .. Metallica sucks AC/DC bores, Pink Floyd is very overrated but Neil Young, the Replacements and Graham Parker and the Rumor RULe.

  • poor comment, you don´t know anything about music, there are to many greaters, show respect or knowledge at less

  • You are a retard!

  • Seeing your racist and juvenile tastes on your site, that can only be a compliment. It's obvious you have been doing extensive research in inertia and violence, you ugly fuck.

  • yo sorry bout that my father is a little ummmm can you say special but hes old so go easy on the senior hehe

  • look who talking ihc recipient hahaha

  • Metallica is great but you cant beat that!!!!!!

  • Buenoooo...excelente !!!

  • Nope, nothing to do with black or white, red or purple--It has to do with "Faith." And I'm gonna keep believing that ,---'cause it actually happened to a family member.

  • I love this song it's BEAUTIFUL!

  • matd1g.. Thank YOU. this is a great video clip!!

  • he only gets better. i love that voice.....

  • this is beautiful :)

  • I LOVE these live little nuggets, they reflect so much of the artist and the music business before what it's become today.

  • I agree

  • @BananaWolf13579 agreed 100%

  • @BananaWolf13579 I agree music today is not music at all.

  • Really nice song.

  • Esta música é maravilhosa, envolvente e apaixonante! Na voz de Neil Diamond é um arraso!!

  • No one with a sense of humor?

  • I love dis song soooo much!! 1 of da best of neil diamond!! an everlasting piece tht never gets old to me =)

  • This song describes what most interracial relationships go trough.

  • I don't think that this song has anything to do with interracial relationships. It has to do with a guy from the wrong side of the tracks. If you want a song about interracial relationships look for Societies Child by Janis Ian from the same year (1967)

  • I never said it was about it, but it does describe it pretty well.

    "wrong side of the tracks"

That could be code for, girl, you're not dating that man who is black.

  • or brother louie

  • This song has nothing to do with interracial relationships. Way off on your comment.

  • I KNOW THAT!

I was clearly stating that the song COULD apply to it.

  • Dylan and Diamond are th best song writers ever.

  • Mooie song van geweldige zanger/tekstschrijver.

  • Its that the song in pulp fiction.

  • ORLY

  • Yeah!

I was looking for this music 'Cause of the movie... I was glad I found it, but after paying attention to the lyric, I got pretty sad... the fits exactly the moment I´m living now...

    Damn Shit!!

  • It is indeed! Great song!

  • The one in pulp fiction is a version of Urge Overkill

  • haha

  • At the start of the song, he almost looks like he needs to drop a duece. One of the best songs ever written by Neil or anyone else for that matter. This song is about a green orange... Think about it

  • isn't this true about you,,,dasha???

  • Neil!!!!!!!!!!! You are THE MAN!!

  • It must mean something that I was born in August, 1967. I think it means Neil and I are meant to be together forever and ever....
