Record on cd and sell, no stupid ears could tell, it´s the original or not. sometimes people love to speech out stupid comments, based on their own frustration. This Cavaillé-Coll sound perfect. If you wat to play at home, take out the rugs and curtains of the hall and use bid speakers to simulate the church ambience, or go to sell popcorns on the streets.
So many digitized organs have a mediocre ensemble effect at best, but usually just a horrible clashing of notes ( whatever that is called). This piece sounds very rich and realistic through my headphones. The old adage of garbage in garbage out is never more applicable than in organ rendering. If folks expect youtube to capture every subtle nuance of a pipe organ as sampled digitally then they will most assuredly be disappointed.
I'm just amazed it sounds this good through headphones.Speakers?
This is simply one of the best sample sets available! This set is great for staccato playing as well (an achievement fulfilled with the newest version of Hauptwerk).
@zxbryc I don't know if you like this or not. Hauptwerk is the best program for replicating the sound of a pipe organ. Samplers just would not be able to do it. Hauptwerk can be configured so that each pipe can be adjusted for pitch, position, how sensitive it is to the wind pressure fluctuations and to tremulant. The more pipes that are sounding, the more they "interfere" with each other. No sampler or ready made organ can do all that, and updates from Hauptwerk mean it can only get better.
Not a bad Carillon Sortie at all. It was the first selection I heard as a kid where I wanted to know more about how it was created. Then Mona would play it in church and all my family was bailing for the car to get to The Sizzler to beat the Methodists.
Fabulous sound and a magnificent portrayal of one of the grandest works in the organ literature. A most beautiful graphic display to correspond with stunning Cavaille-Coll power, majesty and cathedral ambiance.
You have to consider the fact, however, that these organs are from the French Romantic period of the 1800's and they didn't have the kind of coupling action that we have today. It was a mechanical coupling action like on other organs from this time period or before.
I know a Cavaillé-Coll organ when I hear one of his stellar instruments. I'm very please this Hauptwerk setup faithfully reproduce the beautiful sound of one of these great organs. Great Job and great performance.

Yeah - let's do it over without the crazy compression! Hauptwerk sounds much better than that... I love it!

There's something wrong.
The couplers "Combinaisons" (over the pedalboard, n. 4 5 & 6) are always OFF.
In this organ, reeds and mixtures (anches et plein jeu) don't sound if these couplers are OFF...

@ViniciusLoncanis LOL Yes, I, too was wondering when the reed ventils would be activated! Otherwise very convincing..

Who is reputed to have said that bad organists have one foot on the swell pedal and one foot in the grave? lol

Hopefully the first of many 64fts! Not swell peddle abusers!

Is it easy like Miditzer for downloading?? Or it´s necessary to be an organist for playing??
bbbnit 3 years ago
??? Well first off its a CD and it cost much more than Miditzer, but is way cheaper than a real electric organ. WELL WORTH IT!
