Scorpion hole, scorpion hole, scorpion hole, scorpion hole, oh and look at this huge scorpion hole! That's amazing! Me: That means get your hands away from that Les...
I don't know why, but after watching all the episodes many times, I have found that this episode is my favorite. I would have thought it to be the Colorado Rockies or another beautiful, bountiful place... but something about the extremes in this episode keep bringing me back, from getting heat exhaustion to eating scorpions.
Watch an episode every night after work .... thanks man.
I find this show really settles my mind after a long night at work. Often times, despite surviving in very tough conditions, Les maintains a serene state of calm of which the shows music and beautiful vistas really seem to accentuate.
The complete opposite of day-to-day life where I'm currently stuck, the inner city.
This one is my favorite and thank you for uploading this, when i saw netflix had taken them off instant i was about to murder a family of koala bears i was so pissed
too bad the thing that these shows really can never do well is show the psychological challenges of survival. in true survival, victims don't know if they'll truly survive. they don't have any other people. les and bear may be surviving but they both have the assurance that they'll get rescued. both are very excellent for other aspects though.
@badbwoy6969LK This is real survival....I enjoy MvW and Bear Grylls and all he's an excellent teacher but he has assistance, Les doesn't...Survivorman ALL DAY
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the sand temperature was higher than 60'c. Been to & stayed in a few deserts deep in myself, quite literally skin-tearingly hot.
@BobbyRice2 It sure does, simply the sand in some Mexico beaches can cause you second degree burns if you walk on bare foot, now imagine on a desert!!!
"The temperature of the sand can reach an amazing 75 degrees C. That's 167 degrees F"
I was thinking 'That's hot.' Seconds later Les says, 'That's hot' XD

Hang on! The highest temperature in recorded history is 58*C, so it couldn't have been 60*C, not unless this is the humidex.

@SabretoothSnowMan He's talking about the surface temperature (the sand)

@SabretoothSnowMan That's recorded history. There has probably been a lot worse than that, just unrecorded.
