@edward18517 No, RE5 Killed RE. This game took it in a new direction while still having a great story, immersive environments, and a few great steps in the right direction.

Saying that this game is as shit as say, the new Castlevania would be completely off base. Anyway I find it highly ironic (although somewhat satisfying) that the truly hardcore franchises have all moved back to Nintendo via the handheld market.

Of course Nintendo's "traditional" console is now for 15 year olds.

4's story was the absolute worst of the entire series and ruined what little character there was to ruin Leon. Added to that it's what introduced the gameplay of just simply mowing down enemies and being fed ammo and health all over the place.

5 may have had the same crappy gameplay, but they at least did things that actually mattered in it and didn't have characters that were complete asses to anyone they came across.

Insofar as RE4's story was concerned, yes, it's a bit ludicrous...but hey THIS IS RESIDENT EVIL buddy. I feel as if it was a great direction to take the game in (AT THE TIME), as opposed to the OTHER direction which was abandoned, and later became Devil May Cry.

My all time favorite RE was Code Veronica, my all time favorite system? Dreamcast.

I think this song resembles a blank pale sliver of hope that sanctuary will come. A small moment of safety and peace, but you know more peril will come. This sets the mood for the story of the game perfectly. A true masterpiece, and this can fit with many settings. One I picture is darkness, cold, and blankness settling in on a cold night while you are lost in your own eyes, and mind. Amazing how such a simple tone can make you think and delve into a lost fog of thought.

With Re5, they have Chris and jill and don't explain any connections, if any, to re4. Better, but i prefer the originals up to 3:nemesis.
